Round Shaman Frame Drum is hand crafted with deer hide head and cedar wood frame. Used in Shamanic healing and Native American drumming, this frame drum has a clear resonant tone.
This 16” Frame Drum come with a stone in the handle for a balanced, easy grip. All Drums come with a leather mallet (colors will vary).
16” Frame drum will have a lower tone while the 10” drum will be much higher in pitch.
The process of building this drum, and the natural materials used, makes each drum unique.
All hide drumheads including buffalo, goat, deer or otherwise will change in pitch as the weather changes. This is normal and expected. The head will return to its normal pitch when the air becomes drier.
The deer skin on these drums may contain some scars that appear as scratches. This is normal and does not affect the sound or longevity of the drum.

Have you thought about a video on tuning a dundun? Every time, I tried tightening the rope verticals as much as I could, as I tried not to have to do diamonds on it. I could never get it in the tuning that I want, and the ending knot I use would undo itself over time.

Djun Djuns are hard to tune. I do not have much experience with Dun Duns. I noticed it takes several passes to get a Djun to come up in pitch.

The handle on 13" and up sized drums will have a stone placed between two pieces of deer hide. This makes the handle more comfortable.
