    🙋‍♀️ Hi there, I make chicken jerky for my dogs, but I grind up the chicken with vegetables. More veggies than chicken. They love it! 👍

    Thank for sharing. If i make it with beef, do i still add apples cider? ☺️

      Completely up to you! I would skip the apple cider vinegar if doing beef.

    For beef liver do you also soak in apple cider vinegar? My dog is allergic to chicken. Because of her health issues and is extremely picky 😂we have started making her treats. Thank you

      You can. I would do so for enhanced flavor and better smelling treats too.

    I’ve been making one ingredient jerky for my fur baby (chicken, beef, liver, sweet potato) in the oven and never thought to marinate in apple cider vinegar before. I will try next time. I don’t have a lot of space in my kitchen for a dehydrator. Do you find that there is a big difference in taste between dehydrating vs baking in low heat?

      @@daveinathens I ended up getting a tiny dehydrator that makes about 1 pound of food at a time. It’s enough for my dog and dehydrates much better than the oven.

    What's the purpose of the apple cider vinegar?

    • @WaggMorePetBoutique
      @WaggMorePetBoutique  Před rokem +4

      apple cider vinegar helps golden the chicken in the dehydration process. But it also benefits your 4-legged ones with improving: -digestion.
      -combats yeast infections.
      -relieves allergy symptoms.
      -supports joint health.

    I read online that you need to pre treat the chicken or cook it more after in the oven to make sure no bacteria is on it? Do I have to do this for my dogs chicken jerky?

    • @WaggMorePetBoutique
      @WaggMorePetBoutique  Před 3 lety

      You can always rinse the chicken off before cooking it. The dehydration of the chicken will/would kill off bacteria regardless.
