She rejected Harvard because she's HELLA smart. She wants to pursue medicine and Sophie Davis will allow her to graduate BS and MD in ~7 years! A lot of Harvard premed graduates are unable to enter med school because it's unbelievably tough to get into one. If I could start over senior year, I would 100% apply to an integrated program as well. Fatimah, I'm so proud of you! You're going to achieve great things in life, Inshallah

hi Fatima! i’m a subscriber from Indonesia and want to congratulate you on your decision; i’m sure it was tough. i’m way older than you but this was such a nice reminder that we all have our own definitions of success, and ultimately what's important is to choose things that feel right for us. i myself am going attending grad school in the Fall but had thoughts of my school not being good enough, my program not being lucrative enough even if it IS something i’ve wanted to study since i was in undergrad.. all because i’ve been made to believe that my learning has to result in a high-paying job that people will “”respect””. i’m aware now that this perception is skewed & unhealthy, so seeing you choose something based on what YOU want to do and not what other ppl have made you think you should at your young(!!) age is truly so refreshing. i’m sorry for this ridiculously long comment, i wish you nothing but the best at sophie davis!!!!!!
