    Just upped my Ai Smoke from 10.5 to 12.5 - I’m a slow speed 88-90mph 15 HCP - drives gone from 222 average to 251 💥 Great advice as always 👍👌👏

      Great advice but you are defying the mathematic laws…..next to impossible

      I’m guessing these are total distance….

    The last part of the video could have been describing me. I am a senior, beginner golfer with slow swing speed (I work out at the gym regularly and am very strong for my age, but slow swing speed nonetheless). I have tinkered around with every setting on my driver. I am now moving up from 9.5 degrees to 12 degrees and I am anticipating better contact and consistency.

    Great tips Coach. Not sure I can do that or tell the difference at impact but will try it. Danger is getting under neath it too much and popping it up.....

    done it to my stealth 2 + buy 2 clicks and yes much better flight and lofting up closes the face slight swing it 95-98 mph so getting there

    Interesting advice. Getting older and slowing down. Will try that today. I’ve also tried firmer balls to lower spin. Somewhat successful. Thanks.

    Great video. I was fit into 9 degree vs. 10.5 by 2 different fitters and trackman showed it. I have 87mph swing. AoA is slightly negative. I also hit the ball high on face.

      I am definitely going try and loft up though. Working on trying to hit up. Callaway Smoke Max D.

    Lofted my driver up from 9• to 11•, effectively changing my average launch angle from 12 to 14 degrees.
    Gained almost 20yards, last Saturday, I hit 4 drives all over 235m (255 yards), not too shabby for this 49yr old.😂

    I did loft up my driver to 12.5. I found the driver easier to hit and straighter. it was wet out so I couldn’t comment on distance although I thought I was getting good carry. Thank you for the advice.

    I like this interesting knowledge drop with the graph…but, I’m just a brute who likes to smash the long and straight. LOL. Honestly Coach, I appreciate you and the insights into figuring out how each of us ought to seek out controlling spin! Great stuff bruh!!!

    Would you pleaase do a vid showing someone with a lower swing speed/ Senior player. With a senior soft flex vs regular flex to see the difference in the numbers. I assume it would be smart for a senior player to have a soft flex snd a high loft like a 12 degree loft or not?? Looking forward to this from you!! Cheers

    Unless adjustable drivers have changed recently, adding loft on the loft sleeve will actually close the face and show less loft at address.

  • @bananaballgolfermbaya6908
    @bananaballgolfermbaya6908 Před měsícem

    Great video! In my understanding, increasing the loft also closes the clubface. I don't want my clubface closed, should I not just get a higher lofted club like a 10.5 degree driver? Maybe even an 11 if they have any? I feel like if I go 12 degrees this is gonna be borderline 2 or 3 wood territory. Thoughts?

    • @CoachLockey
      @CoachLockey  Před měsícem

      Depends what diver you have, Callaway have the option to keep face neutral on the sleeve and for it not to close 👍

  • @brodygoalie
    @brodygoalie Před 23 dny

    So tee it up higher to catch the ball at the top of the face of the driver????

    • @CoachLockey

      Give it a try, works for plenty 👌

      @@CoachLockey I am hitting ping G20 10.5 degree senior flex. I am getting a 12 degree G20 senior flex. I will see if I get further distance. I assume more carry? But total distance? I would assume the 10.5 rolls out more? Please advise. Thanks. Love your vids! Cheers

    Rasing the loft closes the face, producing a draw, lowering spin

    • @MaartenAnna
      @MaartenAnna Před měsícem

      Higher launch, lower spin, eradicating the slice; kinda ideal improvements I'd say. ;-)

    Making adjustments to a higher lofted driver to hit it lower is not that easy for us regular golfers…..
