- Is the Apple Watch Series 5 still a good purchase in 2023? Let’s talk about how this watch has held up this many years later. I bought my series 5 44mm for $70. Surprisingly I didn’t waste my money and got a great deal on a modern smartwatch that is super capable. I don’t feel like I’m missing any major features that I use on the daily! There’s a lot to love on this watch like customizing the complications, watch faces, always on display, great battery life and so much more. But this watch is not perfect and we’ll talk about that and a lot more in todays review.

I’m still using my Series 5 daily. Bought it December 2019, still has 84 percent battery health.
I just got the 5 series this month and absolutely loving it. I think it's the most worth it buy for anybody who is try to find the middle point where the Apple Watch is not outdated meanwhile not the latest one as well 😅

Nice video. I’ve upgraded from Apple Watch 3 , my first Apple Watch , to an Apple Watch 5 stainless steel . Haven’t got it yet as I’m out of the country but looking forward to trying out the improvements including cellular 😊
Congrats! You’ll notice the performance upgrades and larger screen size for sure including the new always on display option for this Gen. In your case too, the cellular will be a much welcomed improvement too I’m sure!

Pro tip: if you look at your watch to check the time, regardless of how casual you think you’re being, people notice. Also, if you are having a conversation with someone and feel the need to check the time, you might be jamming too much into your day. Ask any older person and they will tell you that they wished they had slowed down and enjoyed the moments more rather than rushing through life.

Jftr: current budget Xiaomi SW last for 20 days and are even with always on display good for way more than 10 with contestantly checking your VF.
Thanks for this. Was wondering if this one was slow or outdated and was concerned on getting it. I Wanted to go the 7 but just don’t want to spend a lot atm. Mainly will be used for fitness and the occasional smart features like notifications and such.

I am going to buy a apple watch series 5 44m and black color with charger (not original) and with GPS and cellular and 85% battery health and use for it an iPhone 13 pro max I also have an iPad air 4 but the watch costs 130$ do you think it is worth it?

I’ve been using my aw5 since 2020 never used the always on display, kills the poor aw battery even faster. Apple’s battery poor design is moving me away from Apple Watch. I’m eager in getting a real anti battery anxiety Garmin Watch
I can see the 1 day battery life being a killer for certain people. I’ve heard great things about the Garmin! My father-in-law has one and he loves it!
I went from the Fitbit to the Apple Watch, and the main reason was because the Fitbit just suck compared to the Apple Watch. Couldn’t reply to text, couldn’t do phone calls, I don’t remember if I could do music but I don’t believe so. And apps were very very limited.
Charise, totally feel you! I went to Fitbit for a few years when my Apple Watch broke and it did what I wanted to do and I got used to it. But I recently switched back and got a used Apple Watch and wow I forgot what I was missing out on. I’m working on a video about it that will be out in the next month or two. -Adrienne

The screen looks nicked up and horrible.
That’s because it is, I bought it used. I’m not reviewing how mine cosmetically looks - I’m reviewing the features and functionality of the watch for people considering getting one for themselves in 2023.
That watch looks pretty scratched, I wonder if I could hurt my finger on that.
It definitely is scratched by the previous owner (I bought this used) but they’re very superficial and not deep at all. I could probably buff out most if not all the scratches, I just haven’t gotten around to it yet.
