You make it look so easy! People don’t realize that this a common adjustment for most 4 stroke engines. Just a slight valve adjustment makes all the difference especially if you are having hard to start issues.
I did this on my kombi km91R. Lot easier than I expected. I got the same leaf blower as this. I’ll use it during winter storms to see how powerful it is
I bought a Echo PB-500 10 years ago because it was the best for my budget. 5 years no problems..6th it needed a carb. Stills works great. Just got a 800x for Xmas. Haven't used it yet but it must have a lot more power than my pb 500. I'm wicked excited for the new Stihl.
I have a bunch of Stihl power tools. If you don't start them with their peculiar sequence, you flood the engine and game over. I have a Husqvarna backpack blower, 20 years old, made in Japan, starts on the second pull and I only use it once per year during leaf season. The engine purrs like it was just assembled. What can I say, facts don't lie.
That arrow is there for lining up TDC as you noted. It is supposed to point straight up at 12 o'clock when making the adjustments. This video link is a Stihl tec showing how to do it. If you note, he leaves the spark plug in in order to gain compression and hold that arrow up a the top where it needs to be and it eliminates one added step by not having to remove the plug. IHTH czcams.com/video/Ku5fBQzabyg/video.html In case YT removes this since it is a link, just google the term STIHL Technician BR800 Valve Adjustment
Hey Tony. I just came across your channel while I was searching Stihl backpack blowers. I have a part time mowing business and currently have an Echo hand blower. I find myself going back and forth over sidewalks and driveways numerous times, especially when trying to blow out the sidewalk edges. I am new to the game and one of my co-workers called my blower a "baby blower," and told me to pull the trigger on a backpack blower. Therefore, I am on the fence about buying a backpack blower and my local dealer carries Stihl products. What model Stihl backpack blower would you suggest for general lawn care and a handful of leaf cleanups per year. Thank you and stay safe out there! From Mid-MO, Fezz!
@tonyslawncare lol only the non commercial units 🤣. Go buy a 535 lst from lowes I'll wait. Or a 580bts mark 2 blower I'll also wait ✋️. Only the cheap residential ones at lowes bro
Thats why i dont like them STHIL. For the money not worth it to me. But everyone has different experiences that make or break there opinion... ive been a Husqvarna fanatic for years now.. they start every time eazy to fix. Light weight. But i say to each its own... stile not a fan of STHIL. Lol
Praise Jesus Echo does NOT have valves, timing drive, etc etc and I do not have to deal with all that non-sense. 4 Stroke should be limited to mowers not small stick and blowers. lol
Echo is junk I use stihl equipment no problems quality equipment echo has less power
Echo is junk? Have you tryed the 9010?
@@tonyslawncare Nope haven’t tried it haven’t touched an echo in 20 years stihl all the way
@@travisjohnson1033 if you did try your opinion would likely change. But each to their own.
@@benjaminleslie3155 I tried echo 20 yrs ago been with stihl since that they have always been good machines for me
@@travisjohnson1033 no questioning that, I love stihl equipment too! I have a br600 and ms250 and both have been well worth the investment.

Thanks for the input and thanks for watching
Remember there are two TDC in a 4 stroke always make sure you are on the compression stroke when finding TDC.
Great video
I predominantly use Husqvarna, but Stihl make excellent equipment too! In Europe, Husqvarna and Stihl are the go to companies for quality!
I appreciate you watching bro
The br 800 magnum 😍

Great video! Now I want a br800 lol the 600 sucks to work on.
The 600 is great though
I can never get my blowers started first pull. See you in a few days
Great video Tony. Just sell it and buy you an echo. I've had my echo backpack blower for 7 years and no issues at all.
Lol
The arrow should point to the coil mounting bolt.
Thank you buddy will note that

Echo is ok but I'm a stihl man all the the way not had any problems from my stihl equipment

If your going stihl i would go br600 or br800 both good
@@tonyslawncare Thank you
You adjusted the valve that was open.. Then you adjusted the valve that was closed.. Without turning the crank to open the valve..
All Redmax 30 years no problem
It's time to adjust the valve.s on the sthii back pack br 800 😅🤣
Husqvarna trimmers and backpacks the ones not at home depot !!!
You mean lowes? Lowes carrys husky

This is why I think most people hate on husky. They don't realize the best ones are not at lowes

I agree but this blower is lighter than my 8010 so i really enjoy using it !😎🍂
Stihl is junk they never start orr want to stay idling. Echo is the best zero issues in 3 years .
