I think it's unfair to compare models vs idols because models are like mannequins they are supposed to showcase the clothes not themselves but idols in other hand they are supposed to make themselves presentable with the dress

Modeling agencies have a certain standard for Models which makes it impossible to make it in if you don't have it. Its either you have it or not. The music industry requires talent which everybody can acquire but if they don't look "decent" enough for Korean beauty standards they would most likely be less loved by the average person in the kpop fandom.
