How to wood turn a pole of a floor lamp - tutorial

This video shows the whole process of drilling and woodturning a 93cm walnut pole of a floor lamp being a part of a unique design of a set of 5 floor lamps.
The pole consists of two parts gluesd together and is drilled with a 10 mm drill. The diameter is 35 mm. A steady rest is to be used to drill long pieces as well as to turn long thin objects to prevent vibrations in the middle of them.
The design was made by Byoungchan Yun, a Corean uni student of Glass Department, UMPRUM in Prague. This is his diploma thesis and the lamps represent hope and peace in our modern and busy life.
We have been proud to participate on this amazing project inspired by Christianity.
