Thank you to Homer Greencastle for "Coco's Theme" and to Kevin McLeod of the wonderful incompetech.com for his track "In Your Arms" used in the end of this video. - Komedie
"I used to laugh at my mother, now I am my mother" Perfect.
Laura too real.
Me too! 😂
Dear god, sadly I felt that.
I just told this to my daughter 😂😂 she’ll become me one day and she’s like eww 😂🙄 14 year olds 🤷🏻♀️
"I don't have time for that Buzzfeed bullshit."
I'm in love
TehKhronicler I laughed so hard
TehKhronicler 😂 😂 😂 😂
I love Coco Peru's comments section on her videos. Nobody fights, and we all have a lovely discussion about tea. :3
Fuck off, Serafini. (Just kidding!)
mysnellvilleblog Omg, I saw this on my feed and only saw the "Fuck off, Serafini" part XD Haha like SO CLOSE!
+Serafini Gaunt Sorry about that, I don't like to use that word but it just was't as funny with "eff off" or "get lost." I tried those out.
mysnellvilleblog Haha it's okay :D It was pretty funny
That bothas me.
"Can you believe I just burnt my mouth so fucking badly again?"
Vivian Spitzer THAT WAS THE BEST PART
"What do the British say about that?" Coco: "Who cares?!"
"I don't have time for that Buzz Feed bullshit!"
How can you not love Coco?!
*Camera man* :You have a dead womans.. mint containor?
*Coco* : Yeah why not!?
That's not just any cameraman. That's Garrett whatts.
Garrett is a king
Deon Lowe the best part of this video 🤣
Lmao Garret and his butch voice 😂
im.... still.... truly.... waiting.... for your emmy winning role on Bob's Burgers. like... it's a given at this point.
Omg from your CZcams words to God's ear. That would be a FANTASTIC episode!
Make. This. Happen! (said in Linda's voice.)
she should voice Ginger. it's about time linda's bff was in an episode :D
is she on bobs burgers ?
Llama party I'm pretty sure it's not him. The bobs burgers guy has a stronger accent and the volume and tone of his voice are bold where this Miss Coco is more vocally I'm control. I'm also 100000% sure this is my spirit animal!
Oh, that Dolly Parton animation was kind of terrifying!!
+xingcat I know right? I kind of love it even more for it.
Shamazya Absolutely!
XD tru
I think it was garret watts
"You know what that says? Coco, you've made a mess...
Of everything"
Ewan Oxborrow Same.
My favorite quote 😂
I am am horrified to find out that apparently some people make tea in the microwave.
I know right!
kids these days
.......I'm drinking tea I made in the microwave 👀 (whoops)
+Andres Some of us LIKE Hot Pocket flavored tea!
With you on that.....like an electric kettle is a luxury item?
If you make tea in a Microwave in the UK you will be shot, it's the law
"Poor thing. It looks so lonely laying there covered in bleach."
- My friends finding me passed out in a custodial closet after a night of heavy drinking.
I wish I could say I never related to this.
"I don't have time for that buzzfeed bullshit" 😂😂
I guffawed, literally guffawed at that line!
"I don't have time for that buzzfeed bullsh*t" 😂😂😂😂
Nick Patterson that bothas me 😂
'' you have a dead womans mint container ''
CoCo - '' Yeah, why not? ''
"That bothers me." "I don't like it." Life mottoes by Coco Peru.
It's a known fact that tea tastes better when steeped with regret. I have a recipe to share with you but mine is only 2 steps: 4 Benedryls + 4 pieces of bologna = 4 hours of peace. It's fancy.
+Shannon Green Shannon this is so true. And quite British, actually. I love your recipe. I might adapt it with valium & salami xx
😂😂😂
"poor thing, it looks so lonely in there covered in bleach"
Story of my life..
i identify with the cereal piece
I've had the crappiest day and this has made it so much better
Lol "Isn't that precious?" 😂 I LOVE YOU COCO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Daaawwling Aunt Coco (& lovely Garrett) as a Brit watching in the UK, I can say I'm quite impressed, you did pretty well, and yes Brits sqeeze, if you're bagging it. Don't forget pour on the water the second it has boiled though! I only drink the 'proper' classic British taste of tea, that you add milk to, here's my top secret recipe, which is the best tea ever.
Loose Leaf
1/3 Assam
1/3 Darjeeling
1/3 Kenya
Brew for 3.5 to 5 minutes, add milk (or coconut milk) and a little sugar & you MUST have a biscuit (cookie).
LOVE you my dawling, wish you were here (or vice verse) Jxx
+chillmax
Agreed. Pre warm pot for 3 - 4 mins by half or completely filling with boiling water & putting the lid on tightly. You can also use a tea cosy to warm the pot & to brew. They are naff but keep your tea warm for a long time. Warming the tea makes for better tea & yes it does matter.
Then fill the kettle with freshly drawn water. Only fresh, once boiled water to make the tea.
Get all your fancy stuff set out before you boil the water - & it is rude not to offer sugar as an option for guests. As Chillmax says - once the water boils BAM - don't mess about.
And yes we do squeeze our bags. Tender but firm.
Chillmax - love the recipe, but coconut milk? WTF! you can get deported for that!
We CARE about this stuff.
Tea can save your life.
I love Coco for having a tea timer!
+Talentedtadpole Hi TTadpole, well spotted, tea cozy an absolute must, you can get simple, but the Granny's old wooly hat is quite sweet. In all my years of tea making I've never filled a pot to warm it & with boiling water, you could & it wouldn't hurt, it's just a waste of water & a kettle uses so much electric ;-) I stopped drinking milk about 2 years ago, so I mentioned coconut milk (UK brand KOKO is nice), as it's the best for tea & coffee, all the others have a problem, they taste bad or separate etc - Almond, Oat, Soya, now they're a deportable offense ;-) xx
+chillmax
I'm shocked - you have never warmed a pot that way?! I think I am going to faint. That is the proper, old school method. At least compromise on half filling the pot to warm. All that cold china is messing up your brew. I am quite upset! Nothing is a waste in pursuit of good tea!
I have a collection of tea cosies - from the granny hat classique up to a 20s white cutwork linen cover that does not disgrace my best china. Silver sugar cube tongs? check. vintage cake plates/stands - check. Mad baking skillz - yeah baby. China Toni Raymond sandwich markers, several tea sets of beautiful china, teapots, linens & vintage tray cloths etc...etc... etc... bit mad? Absolutley.
I love tea, all the parafernalia & ritual, & spoiling my guests.
Ok I won't report you for the coconut milk.
We need to get Coco & nice cosy with a bit of style :-) xx
+Talentedtadpole Yes, you're mad ;-) No, I honestly think most people use the splash of hot water method, maybe mine gets hotter quicker, I haven't used china in years, I use the lovely Piquot Ware, which is metal & a joy to use, no drips & very sturdy. Can't do a lot of tea paraphernalia now, gotta watch those calories, so keeping it simple. xx
+chillmax
It's fun being mad. Thanks! "Most People" with their splashing ARE WRONG. Piquot would be a bit quicker to warm. At least try giving it a bit more of a warm pre brew once, for me :-) Love me some piquot - beautiful! If I have time & am in the mood I do all the fancy even if I am having only tea. Indeed one does have to keep the old arse within acceptable size limits xx
Coco Peru reminds me of like a sassy mature grabdma version of linda from bobs burgers
nicholas pootlass It's like if Linda divorced Bob and got a bad attitude.
nicholas pootlass that guy actually started out doing a drag version of his mom on youtube. that's the inspiration for his Linda character
nicholas pootlass Grandma?
So happy she found Tension Tamer Tea.
Lol love the Dolly Parton pop-ups!
"As a defense mechanism, I will keep a smile on my face."
they had 1 dog, no they have FOUR.
that bothers me.
OBSESSED with your videos Coco! 😭🙌❤️
My electric kettle changed my life.
OMG me too
I used to have one of those...and then another one of those...they both broke very shortly. I just use the stove.
+Lynne Dumas Honest question, are electric kettles a new thing in the states? In my 23 years of life in the UK Ive never known someone who has a non-electric one!
Well, I feel like coffee is more popular in the states so everyone uses Keurigs or coffee machines. Electric kettles certainly exist, but I didn't really figure they'd be useful. Seems like more and more US people are getting them nowadays. I use mine to boil the water to brew my coffee in a French press, as well as to make tea. I think most of us know that they're a thing, but assume boiling a regular kettle to be just as good.
+ASHERUISE You need to get a good quality one honey - checkout amazon reviews or whatnot. Some makes are bullshit. A good kettle should last years. Doesn't have to be mega bucks. Good also to go to a decent store & see what you like the feel of (then buy that fucker online).
I was checking out kettles in John Lewis (UK) with my friends young daughter, & we were popping all the lids just like coco did - cos it's fun. Bitch sales lady gave us the side eye.
Miss Coco, did you know the tea time was introduced to the royal British kingdom by Infanta Dona Catarina of Portugal and then Queen of England? Although she wasn't very popular because of not having a succession and being catholic, she was very charismatic, chic and intellectual. Not only she introduced british royalty to "five o'clock tea", but also using fine china and cutlery to eat (since they used their fingers and gold & silver plates); tobacco; and listening to soirées d'opera with musicians that were part of her retinue. Her mother, Queen of Portugal, usually sent her oranges to England for making sweet preserved oranges like jam and compote but wrongly named "marmelade" by the british, once the fruit apple quince ("marmelo" in portuguese) is the one that is used to make "marmelada" (the original name). Some oranges got sour during the long trip, so she kept the sweet ones for her, offered it to her ladies-in-waiting too, and gave the bitter ones to her enemies, namely royal concubines. She was sassy like that!
I'm laughing so hard I can't breathe! Also, thank you for teaching me how to heat my water properly. I swear to never use a microwave again.
+JCRich001 Thumbs up for mending your ways!
That can be your regret during the next time you make tea 😂
Next Video: Coco Peru Tries a Hot Pocket
I've watched this video about 20 times. I prepare for it though. I go to the kitchen, get out a camomile tea, some cinnamon and honey. I boil my water, I make it really strong and sweet. I sit down, take small sips and watch this. And I'm proud of it.
“Can you believe I’ve just burnt my mouth so fucking badly...again” 😩
You still have a panettone sitting there?? lol
maybe she had an extra one left after giving them to her neighbors for the holidays and one of them annoyed her... the neighbor with the yapping dogs!
ha!
Indeed, that did not escape my gaze.
I love Cocos random stories that keep creeping in XD
I just realized that Coco Peru is basically Linda Belcher but even better
Coco Peru is WAY before Linda Belcher!
I'm stuck at step 4. I'm not done reflecting over all my regrets by the time the water is done. Am I doing something wrong?
+abirdkilledmeh honey, i have been oscillating on step 4 and doing regretful things for the past twenty years...i really should have that looked at. LOL
Ms. Coco, you have lovely blue eyes, my god.
choochalah Maybe Ms. Coco should open some sort of t(r)eatment centre for "step 4-ers".
That is just life, darlings.... Sigh.....
It took you like 30 minutes to make tea that only takes 5-10 minutes to make.
I love it.
As a Subject of Great Britain I applaud you for using a kettle. I once had an American make me a cup of tea in the microwave and I almost fainted.
Dramatic much. Not everybody has a kettle.
This video was therapeutic. Thank you coco!
Morgan Bellavia this video made me want to try a persimmon. And they are pretty good
CoCo, your home is so immaculate and everything is just so! I NEED your life lol. Hearts for CoCo!
Apple Slices Unite are you still watching nina??
after months i finally realize that Coco Peru speaks to me on a spiritual level
"I've never even had a Hot Pocket ... and I'm proud of that."
Love that you have more videos coming out !
I absolutely love Miss Coco. I really think she deserves her own reality show.
The way she admires her kitchen stuff is so relatable. I recently bought vintage glass jars and I have to look at them at least once a day
Omg putting a saucer over the cup is revo-lution-ARY!
This tea is the best thing I've put in my mouth since my foot when I spoke to that cute guy at the club last Saturday!
'Twas indeed an excellent tip!
Earl Grey is Bae
mini dwarfdude I love chai as well.
Saxa-san I have English breakfast like twice a day so I'd say so haha
Thank you Coco for doing this important work. Teach the children & rescue America. TEA SAVES LIVES. X
This was HILARIOUS. I love Coco. On that note, I must have tea now.
It stuns me every time knowing American's usually microwave their tea..... Genuinely stuns me
+Monica Martin I don't think I am going to sleep tonight :-(
Thank god Coco is saving America x
I microwave the water then put the tea bags in it. Never let the water get too hot or it scorches the tea & I have to dump everything from the kitchen into the Boston harbour in protest.
+mysnellvilleblog Does it not bother you that you are bothering Miss Coco with such unacceptable behaviour?!
+Monica Martin what the fuck. who microwaves their tea x3
+Talentedtadpole It bawwthers me too. It haunts me.
"I don't have time for that buzzfeed bullshit!"
I love everything Garrett does 😍
YAS! I bought tea at Starbucks for the first time today! And they gave me a big CARDBOARD CUP of HOT WATER and a cold tea bag on the side. FOR THREE DOLLAHS! I was so upset, I had to let it steep for like an hour for it to get a nice smell going. I wanted to go back and complain, I mean you wouldn't serve a cup of hot water and a bag of coffee beans on the side. I can't.
I have no idea what you were expecting to receive? They should have put the tea bag in for you but it's not such a complicated thing to do on your own. I also find it absurd that you would be clutching your pearls over a teabag on the side and then proceed to steep anything for over an hour.
I guess I was expecting like loose tea leaves already in the water. And also, I let it steep an hour cuz I tried it and burnt the shit out of my mouth so I left it somewhere and forgot about it. Idk, I was expecting a fully prepared tea. I've clutched my pearls for less.
"Coco you've made a mess... Of everything" LMAAAAAO
"Ooh, it's drippin' everywhere. Christ!" hahaha
I adore all of your videos but this one is my absolute favorite!!!! When I am having a bad day, or month, or 4 bad years, I rewatch Miss Coco’s tea tutorial and it lifts my spirits every time. Thank you Miss Coco.
I got a ton of laughs out of this video. Thank you Coco and Garrett.
I swear this video has about 70+ good catchphrases I'm going to use in my life now
Can you believe there are people who don't even know Dolly Parton was the one who wrote I will always love you??
That bothers me.
This is, IMHO, Coco's best youtube video. As I've said before, I am a very HUGE fan of Coco.......
Coco, we love you..you are an American legend..there is no one like you...and where is your reality show on TV? WE demand it! :)
7:10 Coco peru ASMR

I can't believe you got Dolly Parton to be in your video.
4:49 "i used to laugh at my mother... I AM NOW MY MOTHER!!!"

I can’t believe I’m just now finding out about coco. She’s amazing and I love herrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I absolutely love cocoa peru! And when I come to Los Angeles I hope that she's in full regalia! Because she is completely in utterly amazing and no matter how sad and depressed I am when I watch one of these videos it brings joy to my life.
Miss Coco for President 2016!!!!! These videos make my day Coco.....
+Douglas Brown Apart from chopping of the fingers of spraypainters - she'd be a wonderful president!
She could never be in politics...too intelligent and honest.
In the olden days with bone china they used to temper the pot (with some warm water) so not to cause thermo shock to the china....
We all need a cup of Coco Peru once in a while. It's so good for the mind.
When ever I have a bad day... I watch this video and cry laughing at the end. Hilarious!
Reflect on all your regrets..... I felt that 😪
Coco needs to be interviewed on "What's the T" with Rupaul and Michelle Visage STAT.
"Can you believe I just burned my mouth so fucking badly..again?" hahahah I laughed out loud.
Refined, dignified and an awesome sense of humour! Adorable!
Its a scientific fact, that almost everything our Divine Miss Coco says, is quotable, from "taming the dragon" to "burnt my mouth so fucking badly" is quotable :D
I love the round mirror with the little circle thingies.I almost bought one at Hobby Lobby and then I realized I wasn't supposed to be buying from them because they don't provide birth control. So I walked out and gave them my haughty look of disgust and derision.......I'm sure their stock went down that day.
"Every sperm is sacred, every sperm is great, if a sperm gets wasted, God gets quite irate." ~ Python, Monty.
...what
Hobby Lobby is a hate-based retail establishment. $ spent there support homophobia, rascism, gender inequality and ageism. Fuck hobby lobby!
I always put a plate on a cup to help keep the heat in to steep the tea more. This is absolutely divine darling!
Seeing you stab the box of Tension Tamer Tea to open it put me into hysterics!
I bought tension tamer and it's LIT 👌👌👌👌
BRING BACK COCO!!!!!
I am having a Coco revival right now and I feel aliiiiiive again!!!
Lookin' over the fence like Mrs. Kravitz screamin' "shut the fuck up" hahahahahahahaha 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Garrett Watts is my hero.
Best birthday gift, a tutorial from coco, thanks!
+Robert Collins Happy Birthday Robert!
Make yourself a proper cup of tea to celebrate ;-) xx
+Talentedtadpole Thanks, now i know how to do it haha
+Talentedtadpole Thanks, now i know how to do it haha
I have watched this video so many times. I laugh every time, "reflect on all of your regrets".
I worked at a thrift store when I first watched this and the term "baskety thing" was a very helpful addition to my lexicon 🥰
I found this video while I was enjoying my cup of tea. I say it's fate.
No comments about the guy in the back at 8.30
That's my manager, Michael! Good eye!
Miss Coco Peru's CZcams Channel
I just found you yesterday; where have I been all your life!? I love your vids❤️
I bought her mug just because of this video...❤ ☕️
This is the coolest Coco's video I ever seen, I love it! ❤ Greetings from Russia, by the way! 🇷🇺
8:24 - who's that man in the background? Is it your husband from SPAIN?
Coco: Franticly looks for sugar bowl
Five minutes later: Finds it
Coco: I don’t use sugar with tea
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Can we all take a moment to appreciate how Coco pointed out that *clink* sound that we all secretly love?
Thank you, Coco.
You are a treasure.
Miss Coco inspired me to get an electric kettle of my own. It's so much handier than heating my tea water on the stove. Thank you, Miss Coco.
