The clear carry bag will be important for anyone filming in an arena, theme park, stadium
Security often requires clear bags for entrance. Subtly, this is a good feature
For all the android users, I have the s22 ultra. The application is decent no crashes so far. Missing some key features vs iOS but it drains my batter so much and over heats the phone. Definitely not primarily made for Android :/ no single reviewer uses android and I think it's because the company didn't want them.

I have the S22 ultra. My phone does not get hot. Yes some key features can not be accessed through the app directly, but there is a way around it: start the gimbal and the app, then open up the proprietary photo app of your phone and use that app instead. Leave the insta 360app open in the background. The gimbal still works with most of the buttons. You just choose your settings in the photo/ video app instead of the flow app. This will give you the full range of video settings with all resolutions. Hope this is useful.

Hey, just found your channel by chance as I was browsing reviews of this gimbal and I liked it a lot! 😊I bought the Insta360 Link to use during workouts with my online trainer cause it tracks me when I change positions from standing to sitting, kneeling or lying down, but I think this will be MUCH more convenient in that scenario when I travel (which I do a lot for work), since I wouldn’t need a laptop anymore, just my phone! Also this would be useful for just capturing those trips. I ordered it and we’ll see! Thanks for the great info!

@@EMTFILMS I don't have a channel, but if I did, I definitely wouldn't be working out on it! 😂 I'm a musician (hence the travel) who has an online personal trainer. And yeah, it's great fun, except for having to change the camera angle every few minutes so my trainer can see me! Enter the link360 Flow (maybe) 😊
Great in-depth review! 💗 This seems like a great starter if you don’t already own other gimbals. My question is if you think the spotlight is necessary/how it performs and if it’s worth it compared to other clip on lights?
The spotlight works great but I personally haven’t felt like I always need it since my main captures happen duro the day. But it might work for some night vlogs 🤔… Maybe something to think about. Now I’m thinking late night Disneyland vlog hehehehe. It’s definitely hitting the box like the DJI light clamp for the OM5/6 but definitely an option not a must.

The Insta360 Flow is a cool looking device and I would have considered it had I not already purchased the DJI Oslo mobile 6.
Insta360 is basically the Apple of the "360" device world. They aren't the first to the party they make it better when they arrive. I love the look of the device and the integrated tripod is genius.

That zoom if done right, feels like you do transitions.
The M6 has the AI that can be used separately so you can use action cams (I tried it on my Gopros 10, DJI A2/3, Insta360 1R/1”) using hand gestures or their remote control. I’m curious if you use a phone adapter for action cams, the Flow will work as well?
I actually just mounted the Insta360 One RS into the phone grip and it handled it pretty well. I need to get an adapter to see if it can be mounted that way but for passive video with a GoPro/Insta360 One RS the phone grip surprisingly holds it. Hope this helps! 🤘🏼
Your video is great dude! This gimbal is one of my choices along with the OM6. It's a great choice even with its relatively weak tripod. Tell me there are some limitations with google 6/6a and 7/7a? The company only mentions 6/6 pro for now. I read in a comment that you will come back with a new test. Do you know approximately when? Perhaps then will have all the answers we need. M6 is way better. The tilt axis is very limited on the 360 and overall the design is not as good as the M6.
A) Happy for a new video B) I love that you shoot at Disneyland & DCA and C) How Did you get an extending gimbal into the park? I purchased the DJI Osmo 6 and hot glued the extension pole down in the joints so it would not extend so I could get into the parks. What’s the secret? Just tell security it does not extend like a selfie stick? Enlighten me wise one!

For 360 degree video I recommend their Insta360 One RS or Insta360 X3 camera. My 14 Pro is able to do 360 photos using the Insta360 app. Hope this helps! 🤘🏼
Is it worth it to get the creator kit
I had that gymball for a few weeks and really tried to make it work for me. The best I can say is that the software seems to work okay in some cases , but that the build quality is poor, the tripod is as rickety as all get-out and for the same price you can get more persistant performance if you ignore what the conveniently prepaid cashluencers had to add.

I use their app a lot when using the Insta360 One RS camera for that reframing action. Maybe I can cover this in the context of 360 photos and some of their app unique features like the shot labs. Thanks for the idea! This maybe happening sooner rather than later. 🤘🏼

Absolutely. You still have the 1/4 inch mount capability when the tripod is not in use. 🤘🏼
I wish insta360 would make a stand alone witeless mic. And would live to see a witwless mic tgat connects to all types of cameras & smartphones via bluetooth with out any reciever. That would be cool
That would be awesome! I’ve been using Saramonic and Comica microphones somce it has the cold shoe mount. Some microphones have receivers that go straight to the phone!

Both are great. I absolutely love the Insta360 Flow but the AI Tracking module on the Smove Pro X is very nice. It depends on whats important to you.

You know how to shoot HDR videos with iPhone 14 using the Flow as gimbal?
If HDR is a must I recommend Filmic Pro or the native camera app. The downside is that the Insta360 app features won’t be there but you can control those apps with the shutter on the Insta360 Flow. Hope this helps! Thanks for sharing your time with me! 🤘🏼

Your review is thorough albeit iPhone-centric. I look forward to your follow-up review of the Insta360 Flow using your Pixel 6 Pro. I do have some questions about using Android on the Flow. Is the app available from Google Play or do you need to sideload the app as you need to do with DJI Mimo? Is there a Magsafe adapter? What Flow features are available when using the Pixel 6 Pro? What features are not available? Can you use external microphones on Android phones with the Insta360 app? Are Zoom and Focus available using the outside ring? Not being able to use an external mic and the sideloading issue were deal-breakers with the DJI OM6 for me.

Glad you enjoyed the review! Absolutely doing a round 2 on my Pixel 6 Pro. The app is available on the Google Play Store and most features are there minus cinematic/widescreen mode and Hoop mode at a first glance. I will compare the stabilization and tracking just to see if the Flow’s performance is comparable. Mic wise, the cold shoe allows for that and worst case scenario you can use the native camera app if for some random reason the audio doesn’t translate to the insta360 app. Thanks for sharing your time! I’ll do my best to get this going asap. 🤘🏼
@@EMTFILMS Thanks for your reply. To be able to use tracking I believe the app is required. I'm hoping to use a wireless mic with tracking so having that feature within the app is necessary. Also, I have a Pixel 7 Pro with a Magsafe case and a third-party add-on adapter for the OM6 makes it even more convenient to attach/detach the phone. I suspect that if Insta360 doesn't add a Magsafe adapter, an aftermarket version will soon be created. I do wish that gimbal manufacturers paid more attention to the Android market.

Sure thing! Depends on the case though. I tried it with a standard silicone case and it works great. Anything bulky may vary in performance. Hope this helps! 🤘🏼
In my experience, a case has to sit very snuggly to use it with a gimbal. Otherwise vibrations can build up and ruin the shot.
How's the camera application for Android?
It's actually pretty good! 4K 60 fps is there but no 360 pano mode or cinematic/widescreen mode. Been using it on the Pixel 6 Pro.

@@EMTFILMS How small the handle is and how uncomfortable it is to hold for long periods of time.
The whole gimbal is built top-heavy so all the stress is on the stubby little handle. You can see that handle design was an after-thought by the inclusion of the rubber grip that you slide on. This was an attempt to deal with this issue.
How the tripod looks really cheap and if a leg breaks it can't be fixed.
A lot of "content creators" that seem to make money off gimbal reviews all gave it glowing "best gimbal of 2023" reviews all on the same day. Almost nothing critical was said. In my opinion these are sponsored streams without disclosing the fact (which is illegal in some countries).
One of the streamers gave it glowing reviews on the day 1 release date and then later made another stream days later pointing out some faults.
You forgot the main function of the stabilizer, which is to stabilize the movement. Make a video of how this stabilizer works while walking.

It has great built quality so it can survive some level of scratching and bumps but definitely not rugged. The Insta360 warranty might hit the spot if ever in a rough environment. Hope this helps! 🤘🏼

I started to watch the review and I saw AGAIN that the review is with an iPhone. This gimbal does not work properly with Android. I have the s22 ultra and the features of the app are not 100 percent for Android. Looks like this company is sending gimbal to cretaors for reviews and asking them to use it with iPhone. It cannot be a coincidence that there is not reviews with any Android phone. Best gimbal? Maybe if you have an iphone

The reality is that some modes are absent on the Android version of the app. This is a common trend on Android since the dawn of gimbals due to the massive variety of hardware out there. I can see how developers might default to the lowest common denominator regarding features if they can’t consistently optimize for every variation components out there. That was the answer I got from companies like Hohem, Smove and Moza just to name a few. Looking to do a deep dive using the Pixel 6 Pro to see how it performs.

Why does EVERYONE use an iphone when making these reviews? Not all of us use them. I would like to see A Samsung or other Android device being used with this gimbal.

The gimbal works great with my Pixel 6 Pro but is missing some modes like Hoop mode, Cinematic/Widescreen mode and 360 Pano mode. It does have 4K 60 fps options finally. It's most gymbal. I just sent my osmo mobile 6 back and ordered this one in assuming the software will be just as limited as DJI mimo
@Jeri F I have the osmo 6 as well and it lacks a lot of the functionality on Android which is a shame because all these stupid gimbals are made for iPhone. I assume this new one which I purchased as well is going to be no different in lack of functions according to the compatibility chart.
Because its engineered to function smoothly with iphone but works super clunky and frustrating on androids.

@@EMTFILMS need your opinion on this though. I tested the lock feature. Press and hold as shown in the tutorial. I did an up and down motion movement while recording the video using this gimbal. Everytime for reason I don't understand, it will tilt as you move downward and upwards. Only way to make sure the Flow stays "lock" is to adjust the joystick in order to get a smooth up & down movement. Have you noticed this happened on your Flow?

Weird how samsung android phones are superior yet this company gears their device to iphones. Androids are compatible but with limited functions. Hard pass.
I find it also very weird and annoying but I also understand how hard/inefficient it is to optimize to every single variation of hardware on the Android side of things. Hope with AI things get easier for developers to cover more models. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! 🤘🏼
@@EMTFILMSI have been an iPhone user since 2008. Could the reason that Insta 360 is based around iPhones is because iPhone are more consistent from model to model while androids have so many variations between models/manufacturers ?
@@michaelkukura6208 not necessarily on the consistency because flagships like S23-S24 or google Pixel phones are very consistent. But every other model that every other manufacturer releases with different cameras. Optimizations are definitely lowered often to the lowest common denominator unless you have a flagship
