I really needed this video. I’m vietnamese and the main reason I went to church was because I was forced to by my parents. They specifically go to Vietnamese mass and the Vietnamese recite parts of the mass through a jingle. Most people don’t know the true definition of the Creed or why they say the Glory. They just know it through the jingle. My whole life up until 18 I only knew the jingle not the definition. Now that i’m older ai wanted to know more about my faith and this video breaks down what we as catholics believe.
Peter, the Vietnamese sing the prayers, called cantillation. A Vietnamese priest and a factory worker both can till late.
I have viet parents that do that too😮

Great video. Just one small concern.. the sign of peace is more about reconciling with your neighbor before receiving our Lord. It not a sign of peace as the world understands.
Its not some kind of social time to give peace too many people. One or two people is all that us needed to reconciling your neighbor. Its more about preparing your self then extending peace to others.

This is a great update, although it's too bad there was no one receiving communion in the hand. We are referring parents of our First Communion classes to these videos, as they have taken over First Eucharist preparation in light of recent shutdowns during the current health crisis.

Would you do a video on the rubrics the should be doing during the Mass? Specifically, when should one bow during the Nicene/Apostolic creed? Thanks!
During the Nicene Creed, during most of the year, you now at ‘and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary and became man’ but only during that line. During the apostles creed, you bow at ‘who was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary’ and then you get back up. On The Annunciation of The Lord and on Christmas Day, all bow during that line of the creed. There may be other variations but nothing I could find in the missal
If it's a Sunday Mass explanation, and not Daily Mass, why was there no explanation of the Creed. The Creed comes before the Prayers of the Faithful and is extremely important.

Since Advent in 2011, when the third edition of the Roman Missal was put into use in the United States, parishes have had the option at Sunday Mass of using the Nicene Creed or the (shorter) Apostles' Creed.

@@dioceseofwichita Such a beautiful, well-done video! It has been hard to find one that explains the parts of a Holy Mass so reverently but in a concise way. I’m so glad to have found this video as its shorter time frame allows me to use in my short weekly parish religious formation class.
And yes, I was also a bit taken aback that such a well-produced video did not include any saying of the Creed (either of them) after the Homily and before the Prayers of the Faithful. I’m still going to show my class but will be pausing at 5:37 to mention that next all stand to profess our faith with either the Apostles’ or Nicene Creed before continuing the rest of the video.

I am searching for the new language in mass. I'm used to the old one: "The Lord be with you", "And also with you". I found out that people now respond with "And with your spirit". So this is what I've been searching for for a long time. I thought this would be it, but it's not. Could you help me please... where can I find faithful's response during mass?

I am glad that some Catholics are being awakened and studying the Bible to know and understand the Truth, which is in Christ Jesus alone. But, let it be according to the leading, inspiration and interpretation of the Holy Spirit. For the light of the Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding far exceeds than any man-made or man's interpretation by his own understanding. ( Acts 2:38-39; John 16:13-15; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 3:5; Job 32:8 )
Let me share a testimony of my spiritual experience and the dream I dreamed, which God has given me, concerning Roman Catholic Church. In my dream, I saw a Parish Church building of medium size where mass service was being held. The church building was almost full of people on its sitting capacity. The mass attendees were all sitting and the service was going on. What was shocking was that the one who was performing the service on the altar who was supposed to be the priest was completely naked from head to feet. He was not standing, but lying, facing upward and floating on the air, just one or two feet above the altar table. All people could see him completely naked. Yet, it seemed that they did not mind it, and even enjoyed the sight as if nothing abominable was going on at the altar. I sensed an atmosphere of quietness and loneliness inside the church building. The people were in slumber and seemed to be hypnotized.
When I woke up in the morning, I was somewhat troubled in my thoughts as I recalled the dream. Yet, immediately I received the light of its meaning. The message is clear that it is about the spiritual condition and state of the "Roman Catholic Church", its leaders and members. God revealed to me how abominable is the Roman Catholic Church before Him. She is naked, blind and deceived. ( Revelation 4:14-20 - The church of Laodiceans; 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12; Romans 10:1-3; 11:8-10; Matthew 15:14; Ephesians 5:12-14; Hosea 4:1-18; Zephaniah 3:1-4 )
Since my birth, I grew up following the Roman Catholic doctrine, belief and practices until the day I got born again in my spirit when I prayed the prayer of justification in the Name of the Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. On that day of my new birth, instantly I stopped drinking alcoholic drinks and smoking at the same time, for THE LORD had removed from within me the desire of it. Immediately I was filled with the Holy Ghost. Afterward, something like a seed, broke open in my heart, wherein out of it an unspeakable joy filled my whole being within that lasted for many days. Then it was followed by many godly and biblical spiritual experiences and one of these was to dream dreams. ( Acts 2:17; 2:38-39; 3:19-20 ; Ephesians 3:16-20; 5:18; John 3:3-8; 1 Peter 1:8; Matthew 13:23 )
May the followers of the Roman Catholic Church be awakened and know the Truth that will set them free, which is in Christ Jesus alone and the Word of God, the Holy Bible. They have the zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. They are lukewarm, because their faith is not according to the Word and Truth. Having the form of godliness, but denying the power thereof. They are lacking in the knowledge of God and Truth. They are blind, naked and deceived because of false doctrine, beliefs and practices. ( John 8:32; Romans 10:2; Hosea 4:6; Isaiah 45:20; Revelation 3:15-16; 2 Timothy 3:5; Hosea 4:1, 6 )
I am sharing this dream in obedience to the Word of The LORD in Jeremiah 23:28, that says, 'The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell of a dream..'
Daniel 7:1 - '..then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters.'
Amos 3:4 - 'Will a lion roar in the forest, when he hath no prey?..'
Amos 3:5 - 'Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no gin is for him?..'
Amos 3:6 - 'Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not afraid?..'
Amos 3:7 - 'Surely the LORD GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.'
Numbers 12:6 - 'And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.
Luke 8:17 - 'For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.'
Revelation 3:22 - 'He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches.'
Revelation 19:10 - '..the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.'
The Roman Catholic Church is HEAVILY CONTAMINATED with FALSE doctrine, beliefs and practices ( including traditions ) that makes it "ABOMINABLE" before God. It is because they take lightly the Word of God to live and walk in it's POWER and WISDOM which is Christ Jesus in every believer who is saved, born of God in the spirit and filled with the Holy Spirit, that they may walk with God in Spirit and in Truth in all holiness, righteousness and justice of the Spirit, which the Lord Jesus had 'set up' in the Cross of Calvary. ( Jeremiah 51:27 )
The message of the LORD our God in a vision of my head upon my bed concerning the Roman Catholic Church is very clear that all it's followers ( leaders and members ) should take heed to this VERY SERIOUS WARNING!!!
I hope and pray that each catholic followers will SERIOUSLY EXAMINE their INDIVIDUAL SPIRITUAL STATE and CONDITION before God for the sake of their soul.
May they all be awakened, received the white raiment that they may be clothed, their eyes be anointed with eye salve that they may be healed from their blindness and be free from deception that is prevailing within the RCC. ( Revelation 3:18 )
They must know and remember that The LORD our God did not placed anything between man and His Son our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for his or her Salvation and Redemption; not even angels, saints, nor our fellow men and any material things and images, and man-made recital prayers!!!
The BEST thing the 'catholic followers' can do is to TURN TO the WORD of GOD, the HOLY BIBLE. READ, STUDY AND MEDITATE upon it always that they may know the TRUTH that will set them FREE from FALSE doctrine, beliefs and practices ( including traditions ). ( Psalm 1; Colossians 3:16; John 8:31-32 )

The Catholic Church gave us the Holy Bible. The Holy Bible is a Catholic book. The Church has existed for more than 2,000 years. What are you talking about?

For ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered. As it was in the days when the Lord Jesus was here on earth, wherein He rebuked the scribes, Pharisees and the lawyers because they had the LAW and the key of knowledge of it for more than 2000 years, yet hey did not use the key to enter and not even allowed those that who want to enter. So is this time and age of the New Covenant, The LORD by His Spirit is rebuking the leaders of the Roman Catholic Church: they have the key to the knowledge of the Word of God and Truth, but they themselves did not enter into it and lead others instead to the wrong way that leads to destruction.
The knowledge of the Word of God and Truth, which is in Christ Jesus alone, that leads to Salvation and Redemption in His Name for individual soul by the working of revealed Word in one's life from Justification to Sanctification that should take place in man's life; not by the wisdom and power of the flesh but, by the "Wisdom and Power of God', which Christ Jesus in every believer who is saved, born of God in the spirit, and filled with the Holy Spirit. The fulfillment of the Word and Truth in believer's life from washing away of his/her sins, to the manifestation of the fruits and gifts of the Spirit, and walking with God in the spirit and in Truth following the Son of God on the narrow path of light and life that God has laid before him/her carrying each one's cross until he/she enters the strait Gate in Heaven.
But the leaders of the RCC replaced the knowledge of Truth of obtaining Salvation and Redemption by RITUALS and all forms of FALSE DOCTRINES, BELIEFS and PRACTICES. Making them BLIND GUIDES of the BLINDS. Things that makes the RCC ABOMINABLE before God. I hope and pray that this may answers your inquiry and will guide you to find the real Truth on the teachings of the Word of God, the Holy Bible on Salvation and Redemption, which is on our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ alone. @@catholindsey5374 I am very sorry for your unbelief and lack of knowledge, understanding and wisdom on one of the precious jewels and gifts of The LORD our God to His Church in the New Covenant. To dream dreams is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit baptism or infilling, which God had promised in the Old Covenant, and He also did fulfilled in the New Covenant, and began on the Day of Pentecost on the first Apostles and disciples in the Upper Room. The LORD did not promise and fulfill this beautiful gift if it has no significance in building His Church in the New Covenant. Of Truth, this fruit of Holy Spirit baptism to those who are BORN of God in the SPIRIT, together with visions and prophecy are some of the channels of God's revelations in the New Covenant. Through these channels God reveals things that have elements of mystery in His Word ( for the Word of God is prophetic in nature ), and give WARNINGS and INSTRUCTIONS to His Church and mankind as well. Through dreams and all other gifts of revelation, God make known and EXPOSE the WORKS of 'enemy from hell', especially in the realm of DECEPTION on both sides: physical and spiritual. This kind of dream is NOT an ordinary dream, which is nothing, but being a FRUIT of the Holy Spirit baptism, it is an ANOINTED dream as that of those given by God to chosen vessels in the Old Covenant. It is one way that God reveals what is in His MIND concerning certain matters and things, especially in the realm of His Plan of Salvation, Redemption and Restoration.
I hope and pray that you are enlightened about dreams in the New Covenant by those who are filled with the Holy Spirit and born of God in the spirit. I have much to say about this wonderful gift The LORD our God had given to His Church, the True Body of Christ. Afterall, this kind of dreams had played a very SIGNIFICANT ROLE in God's PLAN of Salvation, Redemption and Restoration in the New Covenant. Like the dreams The LORD had given to Joseph, the husband of Mary, which revealed God's Will for him and Mary in relation to the conception and birth of the Savior, His Only Begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. This is also the kind of dreams that The LORD gave to the men of God of Old and New Covenant up to the present time.

He is the One who worked it out, from giving His Word to His chosen servants to preserving it from generation to generation until an appointed time came for Him to compile it into one book. The Mass is a re presentation of the sacrifice of Christ on Calvary. Christ celebrates the Mass, the priest or bishop standing in for Him.

Hebrews 10:2 - For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.
The church of Christ must understand that the sacrifice of Jesus was sufficient to the remission of sins. Calling to mind all your sins is something they did under the Law of Moses (the Old Covenant). Read Hebrews 9 and 10 and see how that all works.

Can I be catholic if I do not believe in Satan or hell? I only believe in God. I do not see the Bible as the word of God, but rather as a truly inspired, spiritually-infused mystical scripture. I love all things catholic and christian though... Oh my God, forgive me for that
