The debut album from The Amazing Devil, "Love Run", was one of last year's highlights. A dramatic, original, varied and exciting piece of work, it comes strongly recommended.
The band are no slouch live either, earning themselves a growing cult following, so we're extemely pleased to present this exclusive session they've recorded for For Folk's Sake. We met up with them at the long-running, and infamous, Gerry's Club in Soho. A well-known haunt for London's actors, it's perhaps appropriate for a band with a touch of the theatrical.
This first song, "Pray", is taken from their album. Enjoy.

This is one of my favourite songs from Love Run! Madeleine Hyland's voice is simply amazing!
I am loving the slightly jazzy feel of this song. Would love to see some more stuff like this from these guys, or otherwise just to see what else they are capable of. Very talented group of people.

how so? madeleine provides much of the soul of their songs, with her characteristic keening. she is a core part of all three albums, and the soon-to-be fourth one; it wouldn't be the same without her
