I appreciate that this video tries to lay out the facts instead of injecting constant opinion and bias. If the facts reveal bad things there is no need to inject additional opinion anyway. Well done!
except there's no facts. its just more anti soviet liberal propaganda.
one small note, romania was not annexed by the soviet union, only bessberia (moldova) was taken, which also prompted romania to join the Axis powers.
That seems like a BIG thing.
@@TheRadioAteMyTV it really isnt, romania had very limited involvement on the easterm front. the rest of the video was pretty spot on though
@@hgjghg3435 Not according to other commenters.
What happened to him after a second war?
@@hgjghg3435Romania had a big impact on the war, the Romanian Army reached Odessa and Stalingrad and Romania was giving oil to the German Reich. Plus other things.
I knew a Russian immigrate in the early 90s he told me that when he got word of Stalin's death he cried like he lost he's father.
yea i heard the insane gathering to moarn stalin's death was such a huge rush that many people basically suffocated
Refreshing; explains a lot what is going on right now. Thank you from NL.

I wish you do a video about Napoleon as well.
Heroes dont stand on piles of innocent corpses that they murdered
Stalin only killed nazis
Was churchill a hero?
To industrialize, there is always a consequence, especially when the Western "democratic" (Britain, US, France) and the Nazis want to destroy you. I'm not saying that he can't have done even better, but he did do a lot for Russia today. If he didn't industrialize the USSR and lead the country through the great patriotic war, it would have been destroyed by the Nazis.
For me he was the Hero. Because he always challenged Western Europeans UK and USA.
@@kamleshnarayan3286 He saved Russia from the Nazis and now the Americans! That's No. 1 of his achievements.
excellent done,friend.🤩
"Ussr annexe romania", too much internet for me, history is better in books...
HERO and genius.
the rsfsr included all of central asia. the central asia was divided into ssr's later. moscow is really far from where it actually is. Stalin becamse dictator in 1924, not 1929. Romania wasnt annexed as a part of the molotov ribbentrop pact, but bessarabia (moldavia/modova). the capture of berlin didnt lead to hitler suiciding, he suicided 2 days earlier. yugoslavia existed at the time, u showed modern day borders which took a lot more violence to create. the soviet army's name is the red army. its not kim 2 in roman sung, its il, the letters i and L.
Thats what polished animated wikipedia read-off videos get us
👍 True Man👏
He was both a hero and villian, hero for many and villain for many,

What happened to him after the second war?
Good video. I've always believed that people like him can be considered great, but just because they did things at a great scale when opportunities came. It is a simple greatness in the idea of social archetype organisation. It comes down to first impressions that can be used to tune decisions a bit and for nothing else. Just like encouraging patriotism or the question of "when does culture matter in politics?", this all is in the territory of natural conditions, not drastic dynamics like an actual movement. And these kinds of dictators are true believers in the system but corrupt within the path and solutions for beliefs. They just keep doing what they were doing in life before because there's no clear limitation to change things around. But where I'm from, that's the default opinion even kids seem to be born with, and this still is an enlightened centrist general summary comment that anyone can find worth in for any reason because there are no real opinions
There are only like 10 highly liked comments for some reason
(Out of exactly 100)
Some people think he was a hero?? Wow.
Ты сравни что было с пост-советскими странами во времена Сталина (исключая вторую мировую, тут все и так понятно), и что за последние 30 лет. Особенно на страны Кавказа и средней Азии обрати внимание.
He was both
he's a hero
He was the best russian/soviet leader in history. Russia survived because of him.
Does Churchill was a Hero? Stupid. He was way worse than Hitler and Stalin. USA and UK are the real monsters.
Stalin never "defeated all his rivals to become leader" his position as general secretary basically made him the man who had to know everything for everyone and was constantly hounded by the other members for either information or help with issues but his position he was given as general secretary is the one he held until his death but that position isn't like president or prime minister at the time it was actually made up by Lenin to get him out of military control after his spat with Trotsky. ironically Stalin basically fell into the role of leader. It wasn't until the purges in the 30's that he started actually using his power to defend against counter revolutionaries in the party while also causing possibly a few innocent members to parish caused by anxiety due to the fear of war with either Germany or the West.
This video is shear liberal propaganda.
Starlin was the cleverest man in history.
Obviously, Stalin was a dictator and was responsible for the deaths of millions of people. Additionally, he eliminated most of his rivals, but on the other hand, he was a hero who deserves all appreciation for the survival of Russia and USSR. It was he who, with his strong determination of throwing Germans out of the USSR by defeating Nazi Germany. Had he not been that cruel, the USSR would have been part of Hitler's Nazi Germany. You had covered one part by showing cruelty and atrocities carried out by Stalin. Would be highly appreciated if someone could show up the courage and determination of Stalin that had led USSR in defeating the Nazi Germany. Whatever he did did it for the existence of Russia and USSR more than his personal gains.
He did his best for making his country strong enough to face the challenges of today's colonizers and American imperialism.
The only time a psychopath does anything good is by accident. There is nothing good about this miserable sob.
Nah stalin had great generals is reason they won look at how many disaster especially early in war he's responsible for hell he lost good general because he refused to retreat from Kiev Rather than be encircled witch happened plus a made another good one turn against Ussr because he was refused to Espace from an encirclement
If he eliminated his rivals, explain to me how an anti-stalinist guy took over after his death? Does not make sense. And he did not kill millions like you're saying.
Cant wait for: A. Hitler, Hero or Murderer?
God is great!! From nobody to a very man. But when become great plase let us not for get The God who made us great..I know that that's will be a great man with God above!!!!!
So many people done nothing wrong was jailed and killed, how can he be hero? evil hero may be, as Mafia gang like mess killing bully may be, dangerous bully.
c drole ...premiere guerre ussr was the bad and german alie with us and british......europa the last battle.....real story
The most Stalin-like character in the history of the West is Oliver Cromwell. Was Cromwell a hero or a villain? The same can be said about Stalin.
I love this comment section
Hero ?...are you nuts ?...He's the greatest murderer of all times after Gengis Khan !!
...That would be mao
The whole thing about it is the people stayed there and put up with it nobody ever marched on his ass and killed his sorry ass
Do cash villy, not that hard didn’t even try.
This is just another hogwash on Stalin's history. You cleverly skipped the part in 1917, when 14 Capitalist countries invaded USSR and made deals with white army to divide the lands of USSR, which made the Soviets to handle the traitors within the party with iron hands. What Stalin did through rapid industrialization, made USSR to withstand Germany's brutal attack, when the western capitalist countries folded within days and weeks. France, Belgium and Netherlands lost the statehood to German invasion in a matter of weeks. UK only survived because of the English Channel separating Britain from West Europe. It was USSR that faced the brutal invasion and beat back the Nazis. If it wasn't for Stalin, USSR would have folded within 2 months at max.
Hero.
Stalin was both hero and evil at same time
Only real comment
Stalin. Was a hero for taking out hitler and defeating the nazis. Stalin was evil. But. Not as evil as Hitler. Stalin. Was lesser of the 2 evils. Hitler should of just stayed paiting. Then those 6 million Jews would of survived.
True, but as a biased communist i think is more a hero
@@Josef_Stalin1878- agreed. He was more of a hero. And many people get the gulags incorrect. Not everyone was sent to gulags. Only people who where traitors. Working for nazis we’re sent there. Gulags we’re prisons. For people who were deemed As a traitor. Stalin made a strong economiy and strong industrialization. He did more good than bad. Hitler was insane. Hitler killed millions of inccceent people. Stalin. Only took out who was a traitor.
@@Hardcoredawg420Stalin actually soft on the traitors, that is why some of the Trotskyists escaped and I filtrates the party. Even Krushchev was a Trotskyist.
Stalin Hero or Murderer?
Correct answer. Both,he is a hero to some but he is also objectively a murderer.
The greatest leader of the 21st century, I know most westerners would disagree, but no country developed as quick as the Soviet Union under comrade Stalin, under severe pressure from inside and outside the Soviet Union he conquered, without him, Russia would be standing as it is today
Bloody commander leading his country to imperialism through genocide. Yes, it resembles modern russia indeed.
