Louis has often received the less amount of lines during his time in 1D. Him and Niall were pretty overlooked by their team, later causing them insecurities about their voice and overall capacities. But of cours we all know Niall and Louis are incredibly talented !
I don't think it was that they were overlooked, it was more that their vocal ability couldn't handle some of the bigger notes and longer runs that Zayn, Harry and Liam did. I'm sure if they were capable they would've got to do these too.
H B Singing is not just about high notes and runs. If we’re talking about the tone then I think Louis’ got the cleanest and his voice is so unique you can instantly tell him apart from the others. Whenever he sings you hear angels his voice is so soft and clean but he can be all rock and rough whenever he wants. I hate how people think Harry and Zayn are the most talented just because they get most of the solos in one direction and they’re capable of hitting some high notes (although if that’s the case I think Liam should be up there too). I’m not saying those aren’t impressive because they are but the others should be appreciated too cause all of them bring something into the band. I, personally, wait for Louis’ solos in every song because you can distinguish it so easily and whenever he starts singing you’re like “there he is” his voice is so soothing and beautiful he deserves more credit than he gets.
@@tiarose5071 i'm on the same page. every boy has unique voice and they know how to use them. when i'm listening for example to end of the day or no control i'm really enjoying louis' solos. niall has such a great voice in temporary fix. and of course in many others. i saw some video in which they were all singing chorus and suddenly louis stoped singing and it sound weird. louis is the one who connects their voices so it doesn't sound like they're fighting who has better voice but it sounds harmonized. and for that we can thanks to louis and only louis

I just personally don’t think Louis can sing a song I want to listen to all on his own. He sat well as an ensemble. It’s personal preference and if you like him solo then that’s your prerogative. He’s just not for me.

Harry and Zayn are definitely the powerhouses when it comes to vocals and Liam also has a good voice so they took the lion share of most of the songs and also sang the more difficult parts of the song. Louis and Niall filled in the rest.
Louis and Niall have the unique voices in the band. Just because Harry and Zayn hit the high notes and are more popular doesn’t mean they’re more talented because singing isn’t just about high notes and runs. However, as a soloist, if Louis has to sing an entire song on his own he struggles. I have heard him sing one or two of his songs from his own album live, and it's difficult to listen to, and his backing vocalists help carry the song. If you love him as a soloist then that's awesome.

My favourite voices are Niall and Harry, but I still know that they aren’t the best vocalists in the band. a good example is when he lost his mic for a few seconds in one of the tours and when the 4 of them sang you could hear something was missing
