  • Today we review a 2007 Ford Focus convertible.
    We ask the question, is it worth buying a convertible for £3-4,000?

    I've got one had it for 5 months now I can't wait for summer looks great it does 150 miles on 10 pounds worth of fuel with the roof up and 120 miles roof down on 10 pounds its the 2.0 ltr petrol cc3

    I have a 2008 mk2 CC3 version, a 2ltr diesel. I love it, it's quite quick & very economical (40mpg is easy & the usual, 55+mpg is quite possible if you take it easy). It's well equipped (full leather, heated seats, quickclear screen, climate control, dipping mirror, reversing sensors etc), very comfy & now has an Android stereo with reversing camera. The boot is huge with the roof up.....and with the roof down you can fit out-sized stuff on the back seats, brilliant. Insurance is cheap & tax isn't outrageous either.It's all the car I want right now.

      Gixxerman 001 I am looking at convertibles. Your comment is really useful as these fords are cheap now and still look nice

      Thanks Ashley, see if you can get a test drive, they're a nice car to drive (you can set the steering from comfy easy city style to a sharper sport setting) & being a Focus at heart means it's very reliable (so long as it's been serviced properly).

      My biggest concern is fuel. Currently my Tin can Peugeot 107 will give me a week of driving on a full tank

      Hi Gixxerman. Got a 2007 Mk2 CC3 with the diesel. Looking to change the Sony 6CD stereo for a double-din Android Auto with DAB and reversing camera. Would love to hear how you fitted yours.

    Good video
    iv got one of these fords and they are quite well built and drives nice as you say up to about 60mph not much more though with top down.

    • @gixxerman0016
      @gixxerman0016 Před 6 lety +1

      You can get one of those wind deflectors for a warmer faster roof-down drive, they're very effective (cost anything from £100 - £190 or so).

      Stanley Thompson 10 seconds 0-60mph is slow AF! Also what mileage do you get?

    • @gixxerman0016
      @gixxerman0016 Před 6 lety

      Probably a 1600cc Focus CC1, certainly not the best engine in the range.

      I managed to get hold of a 2010 2.0 ltr TD with 36000 miles. Some age related deterioration to exterior rubber trim, but otherwise I can't fault it.
