Me too I’ve listened to it for the last 10 years now... haunting how close it is to capturing my original feeling playing the game and the way the music came across. To me it’s the best. And I’ve always aspired to play like you. You made me sit watch and smoke with my friend in envy all those years ago and still make me wish I could play that the way you did. I still salute you

it's the only version that actually represents this unique vibe of Tristram.
In my opinion this older version is by far the most complete and perfect one.
The reverb, the background sounds, the slides, also the choice of alternative patterns, all of these create an atmosphere which is very difficult to perform in a better way.
The effort behind this work make 1 simple guitar enough to cover every single aspect of the song.

I discovered this video about three years ago, and only recently had to try to find it again. This is the single best rendition of the song that has ever been done, and it is a damn shame I had to wade through a cavalcade of inferior musicians to find this masterpiece again.

Brings back memories of a revolutionary game that I enjoyed so much. The soundtrack was such a big part of the game's success.
I remember watching this when I was 13 years old back in 2009. I started playing Diablo 2 again, haven't played it since I was a little kid at that time. To be that young again with very small problems.

What is even more amazing about this player is that not only is he playing it perfectly but i dotn see any sheet music or anything so i think he playing all of that from memory which just makes it that much more of an astonishing Performance at how accurate it is.
I'm watching this now in 2013, you've posted it in 2008 and took me back to those 1998 nights of our university times which me and my homemate were playing that incredible game. I still remember, I was fooling around the town just to be able to listen to this magical guitars. Thank you and well done.

The best version on CZcams. There's a few different people playing the notes correctly as well, but you're the only one who nails the tone - which makes the difference between good and great.
