I quit drinking alcohol 6 days ago after being a heavy binge drinker for around 15 years. I've been going through the dark night for too long now, thinking I'd be stuck forever that way. A few days after deciding to quit drinking, your videos came up in my recommended, and as I started to watch your videos, I realised that the big decision to quit dimming my spirit with alcohol led me to your knowledge, truth, and it was meant to be. I know it's early days, but I feel amazing, and I don't think I can go back to binge drinking ever again. Thank you for guiding me through this! Every word you spoke here I resonated with, and the truth is always felt when you're not flooding the temple with booze.

Thanks for another great video mate. I went into the dark night of the soul late last year. It was a few months after a bust up with a life long friend. I had no idea what it was just that I felt worst than I thought humanly possible. My whole life I was emotionally strong and I had never felt anything like it before. It was relentless, day in day out, every hour of every day.
Eventually after about 4 months of this I just gave up and I started to cry. I had never cried before but I started to cry a lot as I felt the intense pain. That’s when I felt the pain starting to leave.
I’m a lot better these days. When I feel deep sorrow or pain coming on I can go for a walk and focus on that feeling. Really feeling it is the key for me and then it releases. It’s still not easy but that’s how I’m getting through it 😁
Please excuse me I didn’t fully read through this message at first! You’re right really feeling that pain and putting all of our focus and attention on it is the key to releasing it! I took a nice long walk last night with some pain that had come up in me and I find that energy of pain (when we own it) can feel almost blissful, I find it’s nice to cry with it too- very cathartic
This resonates with me. I’ve been on a spiritual journey for along time but fell apart recently, I lost my children and my husband. My finances and everything has been turned upside down... I knew better to let this get to me but I have been avoiding the pain and try to fill it with every positive thing that comes across to fill in that void. I just couldn’t understand why i wasn’t coming out of it. Although, I want to make excuses about my losses but it’s only been a few months. Very hard to let go but my soul is so telling me to heal and move on. 🙏 Thank you for this video, I use to be the one helping others but now I need the help.
So powerful brother. I resonate with all of these points. I find that sometimes I'm afraid to let go and tap into my full power. For example, I've seen how when I am in alignment my authentic self is very straight forward, laser-beam focused on a goal - and growing up as an "introverted/people pleaser", it's difficult for me to be blunt and straight forward, and knowing that I have this powerful presence inside of me that is very much to the point and sees/feels through everything scares the shit out of me to be quite honest. Your videos are very powerful and I'm grateful to have been guided to your channel. Much love

Exactly what I am going through right now. It is difficult to completely let go and trust when the life that you built so far is falling apart. I have moments where I let go but the anxiety and fear returns from time to time :( I keep reminding myself that the fear is coming from the death of the ego. I am regular with my meditation but really need to start a daily practice of yoga.
Shana_3 yeah yoga is fantastic for grounding you in your body! It’s anaesthetises the mind so to speak. I have great compassion for you because it is so difficult to trust, but it’s okay not to trust too. I regularly don’t trust only to be shown that trusting was worth it
yoga is actually extremely ungrounding for someone experiencing an awakening..

Jamie, you are young (in chronological years), and your choice of words seems to be indicative of one who is addressing young people like yourself. But I want you to know that I am 65, have been a yogini for 34 years, and your videos are really helping me. You must be a very old soul. Thank you for this video. I don't think it is s coincidence that on the same day that I first heard it, I met a therapist at a 4th of July party who is also a trained shaman who does trauma work, including soul retrieval, and I've been thinking that, in addition to my decades-long sadhana, that is what I need right now. I have hesitated to go looking for a shaman who advertises soul retrieval, because there are so many fakes and charlatans out there who claim to know how to do that work with people. But he just showed up at a party, I got to meet him and talk to him first, and I really trust him. Plus my friend who hosted the party told me that he really knows what he is doing. This happened right after I listened to this video in the car on my way to the party, and that cannot be a mere coincidence. Thank you for what you do. Keep doing it.
Ceil Hall that kind of work really can accelerate the path of you are ready to face your own demons yes! I did something similar and now teach it one-to-one! Spiritual therapy I like to cal it ;) It’s super effective so I wish you all the best with it!

I've been here for over 2 years now... It's like a roller-coaster you can't get off in a theme park of darkness. I am starting to see the funny side to it, black humour obviously. Lately I have just been focusing on the pain.

how do you know the pain is lasting "longer than it should"? it lasts as long as necessary. I agree it is not easy. I thought my whole life was my dark night of the soul until it actually happened LOL--after I retired from a relatively successful career as a transactional real estate lawyer and moved to another state. Then it hit. Wow, is all I can say. What a trip. Not alwaya fun--but sometimes life seems more, well, alive somehow; and I see more beauty than before. Think it is worth it, most of the time I think that. Not always
really agree with the what you resist persists--I have seen that in myself. Think it is true.
thanks for your channel. but the ego is not the problem--if you define the ego as a sense of separate existence. the issue is selfishness.
agree also on the issue of the idea that forgiveness of self is the key and forgive others. hard to forgive others until you forgive others--and vice versa. they go together

Hi I’ve just come across this. I am going through this now after some years of spiritual practice the pain and the fear in the gut was overwhelming for me I tried for 3 weeks but ended up in hospital suicidal and had a brake down, they put me on antidepressants 1 week ago and they have helped but I can still feel the pain but not as intense , can I still go through this on the medication I feel like I have no choice and that I have to but I don’t think I would survive it if I come of the meds, please can you give me some advice I’m really struggling even though I am trying to come from the witnessing position.

Perfectly normal! We lose our old identity to help create a new one, and it can be alienating, confusing, and the ego has trouble letting go of the old self. Your mind tries like a mad demon to keep you fixated on the old patterns.

I think I'm stuck in the void wherein sometimes or the other I have visual experiences ..sometimes I have vivid dreams sometimes I can tell when someone is about to pass away but spiritually I am not going further....there is no kundalini awakening or energy surge....but do have this weird feeling of running away from the world ....I visualise myself mediating in a forest or in a cave....where I haven't been before....can u help ....suggest what should I do .....I am chanting my mantras....though there is a definite lack of connection
You have gift. The Bible will help you for reference purposes. I am a prophet and have 2 other gifts. I see vision, warnings & I can see people for who they are. Do more research and see which one matches yours.

I’ve had dreams of vampires trying to get me but when they attempted to bite me they turned into dust. I thought it showed I AM protected. I have been stuck for 2 years!
