Thank you so much! This was the only video that helped me get my mic sound back!!
Big thanks for the video. I actually encountered the last one. I received signal on my guitar plugged into an Audio interface although I couldn't hear myself. What worked for me was switching the input to my default laptop microphone then switching it back the my audio interface and voila, I could hear myself. I think it's because I had configured my guitar audio track before plugging it, the track needed a little reset.
You're welcome, I'm glad you were able to get everything sorted!

thank you so much! you really helped me a lot! i have two headphone inputs in my scarlett 18i8 interface and i couldn´t hear my lapel mic (but i did hear my guitar) - then i changed to the second headphone output ( is it an output?) and i could hear my voice and the guitar!!! finally!!
Glad to hear you're up and running. If you download and open the Focusrite Control software you'll be able to change the routing of the headphone outputs so that they are both the same.

Ah that was super helpful - the Software Monitoring had been unchecked (no idea why, the irony of these random things with a software called Logic) and I would never have figured that out on my own. Thanks George, I've subscribed.
Thanks for the video. I only watched the first 0:52 seconds and fixed my audio.
Gaaaahhh! Thank you for helping me with something that was limitlessly frustrating.
Happy to help! Let me know if you'd like to see any other Logic Pro topics covered.

Thanks for this, Georges, it gave me a lot of ideas. I personally found I had the entire multi track song set to -4.00% SLOW and pushing the whole thing back up to "0" fixed the problem. Now, I would like periodically to slow down a song to put a lead guitar into, I have done it before but can't remember?
@WickBeavers you're wanting to slow down your song to record a guitar solo, and then put it back to the original tempo afterwards? If so, you'll need to turn on flex mode for any audio tracks in your song. You can then simply change the BPM of your song and the audio will conform to that tempo. Check out this video for a run down on Flex time: czcams.com/video/pEgUZ3N2Xmo/video.html
I hope that helps.

Thanks for helping out George.my issue was I didn't set the track output to stereo.thanks a lot
You're very welcome. I'm glad I was able to help solve your issue!

Hi George, thank you for this. Please could you advise me on a recurrent confusion I have? Basically I sometimes have difficulty getting a good guitar sound with certain amp sims (Amplitude mainly). I'm exploring various variables - but one that I don't fully understand is the role of direct monitoring vs monitoring via Logic. Well that's not quite right, I understand what they are (as in your vid) and I can turn the monitoring on/off in logic (& therefore get an unprocessed signal only). But I'm not sure how to turn of the direct signal ... so suspect I'm getting both signals in my monitors & hence compromising the sound. I'm using a Focusrite 4 pre interface. If I turn of monitoring in the focusrite control software, I just get silence. Please can you help?
Hi Georges i have a problem of sending my reverb or equalizer when im doing streaming it only comes out with the dry sounds(I used Logic). Can you give me an advices. Wish you can make a tutorial video on sending effects using logic when streaming.Thank you
Hi Jon, have you seen this video? czcams.com/video/7ELxiA7HZ24/video.html I walk through how to send audio from Logic Pro to OBS to do live streams.

The guitar signal is not working at all.... i have tried everything.. my audio interface is is getting signal from guitar but no signal in logic
Having serious issues all of a sudden -- I can hear my voice but when I mic the guitars with the same microphone, it's not picking them up. I've always used this mic for both, and now I can't hear the guitar. None of my settings changed. What gives?
My issue is I already laid vocals, but I can’t hear them when I play the song back. Last night it was working fine and now none of my projects have vocals I can hear even tho the tracks are there. The output was not changed. How can I fix this?
Can you see the waveform of your recorded vocal tracks (the files aren't missing)? Can you hear other tracks in your project?
Im not getting any signal form my guitar, like no green bars into logic, I have no idea what the issue is, inputs are good, preferences, input monitoring, all of it, but it still won't work, but its not hardware issues cause I can still hear it from my headphones if they're plugged right into the interface. Can someone please help?
Is your interface showing up in the Logic Pro Audio Settings? It sounds like you're monitoring directly from your interface at the moment.
Cheers
Georges
I tried all things but my signal is not showing in logic for vocal recording but something deeps signal up don't know what is there any default reset settings for logic
Is Logic Pro recognizing your audio interface? What kind of microphone are you using?
Random question, but it would mean a lot if you could help. My microphone isn't registering high and even medium to high notes on Logic Pro. I tried using a different mic and a different software (Garage band) but it's still not working. My microphone is only capturing low and medium registers. Any idea why that could be?
If you've already tried a different microphone and different software with the same result, then I would look at your audio interface or microphone cable.
I hope that helps.

I was recording earlier today and everything was okay and working properly. But then when I try to record tonight I can hear myself fine when I’m not recording. But as soon as I try to play a track to sing along with and record I can no longer hear myself. Why is that?
Are you still having issues? I would start by checking that software monitoring is enabled in your logic preferences/settings.

I am desperate for help now
Imma just try my luck and ask everywhere
When I record vocals with my Logic
It will stop recording my voice when I go past a certain pitch.
Like E4 it is fine, and then F4 and above it’s as if my voice got eaten, it just won’t record.
My Mac is the newest model, the recording works just fine in other DAWs, so it is not my mac nor my Focusrite.
Anyone have any idea what the hell happened?
And how can I fix this?
Do you have an EQ with a low pass filter (or any other fx) placed on your vocal track?
@@knuckledustermusic Succumbed and called Apple support. The issue is resolved.
It was voice isolation
It cut all of the high frequencies
Still got no sound but you stopped at the last hurdle, tried that still no sound😊
Hi, I’m having trouble hearing myself. If I clap right next to my microphone there is a very small signal. When I sing it is very quiet, I have turned gainz up, turned on Phantom Power and sorted all the inputs and outputs so why is it still so quiet?
Look for a pad button on the mic or on your audio interface. Make sure it's off.
@@knuckledustermusic there isn’t a pad button on either
I have a Scarlett Focusrite 2i2
And a Rhode NT1-A
@@benparsons4574are you using a 1/4 or xlr mic input? If 1/4 inch apparently phantom power does not get used when you use a quarter inch you need to use the XLR input.
@@benparsons4574also there is a pad button, but you have to download the focusrite control software.
How come the “software monitor” box can’t be checked for me?:( it’s completely grayed out and unclickable
Which audio interface are you using? It could be that your audio interface software is set to direct monitoring.
None of it worked I can't seem to figure out why my vocals sound so loud and clear when I am recording music but as soon as I play it back its sooooo quiet
What kind of interface are you using? You're likely listening to the direct feed from your audio interface while recording and then playback through Logic will be different.
I hope that helps.
Cheers

My red recording button disappeared. Where can I find it 🤔? Help please 🙏. Thanks ❤️
If it disappeared in the Control bar, you'll see a little downward pointing arrow in the right corner of the Control bar. Click on it then "Customize Control Bar and Display". You can then select what buttons you'd like to be visible.
If it disappeared on your individual tracks, then re-click on your track and goto "Track Header Components->Record Enable".
I hope that helps.
Cheers

I plugged and external midi on my logic and after removing I no longer get any sound or signal even with the right impute selected
After unplugging your midi keyboard you have no sound? If you hit play do you hear previously recorded material?
@@knuckledustermusic kinda fixed it but I think I just broke my interface or it’s just logic I keep hearing myself when I record even with input monitoring off
@@lillon6083check that direct monitoring is off on your audio interface.
