I'm not saying you're the one that's wrong, but if I had a new car that I wanted to get custom work done to I would do a crap load of research to find the most reputable shop. Used car I don't give a sht, but new car is a different story.
The install is as good as your camera work.
That is pretty bad, but it's still not as bad as that guy Steve Meade showed on his channel that had the system installed in his Chevelle. lol

Damn! No one takes pride in their work anymore. That's why I spent about 5 hours today doing a custom install on my ford ranger. I took my time and made sure to make it as factory as possible. I'll upload a video soon if you care to watch. What ended up happening with the place? Refund? Did they offer to fix it? I live in nj and car shops around here,

I'd definitely like to see a video of your install. I have a Ranger myself that has a mild install. Whatever I do I also like to blend it in factory style.

Not only did I hurt my neck watching this but got motion sickness as well.
Normally I would say that any custom door panels are going to look like shit unless you paid a shit ton for them , but that shop did the worst job at it. Not only do they make the truck a theft magnet due to the large amount of unnecessary exposed shit like crossovers and the stupid looking roof console. With horribly placed gun thing that doesn't close properly. They also managed to put this shit up on their website and call it a good job. Why a hidden gun compartment in a horrible to reach location. You won't be able to reach it in case of emergencies, also you have to wait for the stupid thing to lower. This shop did a horrible job

Those kind of shops always ask for a huge deposit before the installation because they don't want to lose money, I bet even if he'd noticed it right away and told them to take all that shit down he would've lost his deposit on top of having a truck with broken stuff all over the place.

I had a Brand new Mazda 6 destroyed by Tweeter of Burlington (they went out of business ) and Rich's Car Tunes in Massachusetts . I will never again have a vehicles audio upgraded .

To the guy with the Tacoma, sorry to see what started out as great concept ideas put into physical form only see they were not well thought out as a finished product. I hope Underground sees this and learns from this experience.

Iys like a tattoo artist one year into doing tatts...if u have a bass system all that shit will fall apart.the gin rack should come out from center so u can get to them quik.but the nack seat dam terrible....please tell me how much and where u got it done

This is the reason I don't let companies install my audio equipment.
First, as an a/v business owner myself, please, by all means, tell us WHO did this crap job on your vehicle.
Second, why have you not retained a lawyer and sued the shop who did all the damage.
Third, you have a gun for a reason... why did you have them build a ceiling console for it instead of a holder in the front center console. My AK pistol fits nicely in mine and has a quick release for the times I need to pull it out super fast.
I agree the gun idea is very stupid. Umm hang on a few minutes criminal when I turn my car on so this button will work so I can....umm get my gun out in the next five minutes and shoot you??? Like really do that is the dumbest idea ever. Good luck getting your gun when u have a bad ground and it kills your battery.
Yes I did not like the location of the gun rack. Two reasons if I am carrying the gun stays with me, I do not want someone breaking into my vehicle and having access they do make lock boxes that you can secure your firearm in, if need be. And second I prefer the under the dash magnet mounts for my firearm.
I’m not sure how much you paid but good professional installations are very expensive.

You are supposed to go over your car with the shop before you pay for it. If you saw all that wrong then you make them fix it before you pay.
They made him pay in advance.
That should have been a sign. When i worked in custom shop we charged 25% of the total to get started. Then if we made any change we informed client before going forward. When car was done we went around car top to bottom and if happy they paid. If they noted an issue we fixed it then they paid

well there is a good saying here... if you want it done right do it youre self or pay up good money for a professional to do a good job, saving ur self copple hundread can be the diff between this job and a good one but always best to do it ur self

dude i had the same shop ruin a JL audio amp & sub install they tried to blow the amp & sub so i would have to buy new equipment from them. the no longer reside at the location any more they moved.
I know this is old but sorry you got jacked man. this shop is about 35 min form my place, they do nasty work, I've seen others and it's ghetto. hope you got all this fixed and good luck where you live now.

that sucks i would pay 5k in labor for any install...I do all my own stuff from building boxes to amps wiring u name it ...I take pride in knowing i did it and i have alot of respect for anyone else who does the same..Really could care less or feel bad for someone that just pays to have anything done ....That sucks but u could of bought the tools and gained skill and knowlege plus pride in your work...i do all my own macanic work as well my lift everything u will never see me at a shop if i cant do it than i dont need it done

Why did you pay them?
Could be wrong, but there are no real certifications or schools for car audio techs. Most are just teenagers out of high school that learn in shop. And most times it's them that do most of the work. I've never done it professionally but I have done basic setups in my own car many times. And the one time I let a car audio place do it they did a crap job. They ran the power lead so close to the exhaust manifold it melted to it. And they damaged a display cluster in my dash pulling the head unit. And all they had to do was run the wires for the amp and place it all in the trunk. Plus they set me up with a box that was way too big for the subwoofers. And they lied about the capabilities of the amp. Amp was not as capable to push the subs as they claimed. So I went back to doing it myself...
There are schools and certification. MECP. Im a master certified tech. 1 of 270 in north america. Not many people know about it.
Like Brandon said, there are schools and certifications for car audio ( I too am a MECP Master certified tech) but since good techs are few and far between, shops will often hire unqualified people, or people who talk a good talk when it comes to their "qualifications." It's really about getting to know the individual installer. Don't be afraid to ask about their qualifications and certifications. I've had to fix many cars from people who have no business installing in a professional environment, and it reflects poorly on the company as a whole.
I would NEVER have anyone do the install I have and always will do my own install that way you know for a fact it is done the way you want it to be done.

That install was a disgrace. I would check the car audio shop's google reviews and their facebook page to see the feedback they get from their customers before I have them work on my car. Underground auto styling doesn't even have a facebook page.
