  • Our F82 M4 "GTMore" project car started as a 100% street car off a dealer's lot and transformed into an absolute super car killer running some extremely impressive lap times faster than a BMW Motorsport M4 GT4 at VIR (1:51!). We were extremely happy with those results given the pretty heavy curb weight we were tossing around with 90% of the interior still in place and lots of creature comforts not removed. It was a dedicated project car to be the best dual-purpose street/track car you could ever create out of a F8X BMW.
    We certainly crushed all of those goals and exceeding even our own expectations, but its always been in the back of our minds - what if we started with a M4 GT4 and applied many of those same GTMore parts. Just how fast would a GTMore'd GT4 really go? Well, we are about to find out!

    I can't wait to get some of these upgrades on my F80 M3 track car! How much power did it end up making with the Epic Motorsports tune?

      @BimmerWorldMedia  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Just under 500whp. Can obviously make more, but this isn't a street car. It will be run for 30-40mins (or more) at a time and a nice conservative tune will make sure it stays not only reliable, but repeatable. Don't need to be leaning on the boost too hard, create a temperature problem, and then suddenly the car is pulling power throughout a race. At the current power level it will be the same power for an entire race without causing issues.

      @@BimmerWorldMedia That's certainly a hefty amount and totally agree with the approach! Great work as always.

      Kept as a back up, sorry. Can never have too many spare splitters for a track car!

      @@BimmerWorldMedia thought so haha. I just love the look of the hardware going through the front bumper's lower section. Wish you guys make a non carbon one without the cooling vents also, but kept the gt4 look. would be sick and hopefully cheap.
