I saw some comments asking for the recipe for the drink that appears at 16:20, so here it is:
1 large glass (we usually use a 700ml glass)
1 unit of coconut ice (in Brazil it is sold in several markets and is literally frozen coconut water)
From 100 to 400 ml of Whiskey (it will depend on how strong you want your drink)
Fill the rest of the glass with Redbull Classic Energy Drink.
There are other recipes using other flavored coconut ice and using other flavored energy drinks, but this is the classic one.
* We usually use Johnnie Walker Red Label Whiskey, but it can also be substituted.
I've seen people adding pinapple juice as well, tastes fantastic

Life in the favela is not easy, but I need to list some points. The first favelas began to emerge after the end of the Brazilian Empire. The coup that established the Brazilian Republic put an end to a financial reparation project that would have benefited former slaves, which explains the emergence of the first favelas. Not every favela resident is black; there are also people who come from the northeastern region and are mixtures of Indigenous and Portuguese descent. In recent decades, things have improved, as you can see in the video, with a functioning commerce that creates jobs and keeps money circulating. Another fact is that not all favela residents are poor; there is no excuse for getting involved in crime. The Brazilian state offers free healthcare, free education, and monthly financial assistance to these people, so there is no excuse to solely blame the government. In truth, the government doesn't care much about what happens there, but it's not true that the government doesn't help... they exaggerate the drama for you foreigners.

Im from Argentina and i noticed the same thing as poudi. In america the poor live in the middle of the city and the richest live in the suburbs. All over latin America its the opposite. The outskirts of cities are where the poorest people are generally

It cost more money to pump water up the mountain and have good water pressure. Plus the height are less accessible to other resources, so it makes sense that the more privilege people live on the bottom.

Loved this video so much. My mother was born and raised in Rio and as a child I visited the favelas often because of family members who lived there. I always felt safe and the people treat everyone like family. This video brought back many memories and I’m excited to take my children next summer.❤

One thing that I've learned about Brazilians recently by watching lots of CZcams videos and IRL's is that they are fiercely proud of thier country and you do not insult them whether they are from the Favelas or Leblon.
