Genuinely one of the most overrated managers out there- something you only truly realise when he's managing your club. Crazy that Emery instantly gets the blame for all of the defensive cracks when it was really caused by years of Wengers negligence. As soon as Koscielny and Sokratis paired up, our defense was solid. Emery took us to a European final in his first season and deserves praise for that. It took Arteta 2.5 seasons and £200m just to get top 5 whereas Emery did it in his first season. Emery deserves more credit

Unai wasn't afforded a fair opportunity nor was he adequately supported. He was only given 18 months, whereas Arteta has been in charge for four and a half seasons. In his first season, Arteta secured the FA Cup, a feat facilitated by his predecessor, Unai. Unai, who has since gone on to achieve multiple accolades elsewhere, was never given the trust and backing he needed. It's disheartening to still be told to "trust the process." Let's consider, Wenger left behind a team with players like Kolasinac and Mustafi still on long contracts. Whose oversight was that? It seems Unai was set up from the start to shoulder the blame.

Emery just wasn't suited for Arsenal he's more suited for Villa and Mikel is more suited for us, Emery while a way better manager than Arteta wasn't really an "Arsenal man" if you get what i mean like i can see Mikel staying for years but Emery i couldnt really see him staying even if he won us that Europe League just like he did with Seville he jumped ship after winning them 3 in a row, still heavily respect him though as an Arsenal fan

You are delusional if you think Unai would have gotten us where we are today.
Secondly Arteta won the Fa cup. Emery had no hand in it. He would never have gotten over City and Chelsea like Arteta's team did.

The attack was fine, but the defense was shambolic. They conceded 51 goals in 38 games which averages into 1.34 goal conceded per game. The Chelsea team that finished 12th last year "only" conceded 47 goals, averaging into 1.24 goal conceded per game.

In my opinion Emery was the right manager at the wrong time for us. He was dealt a bad hand with the squad we had. If he was managing the team we have now we would’ve won some more silverware

I don't think this was as bad as people think. We finished 5th and it was Unai's first full season. If he was given time I'm sure we would have improved and maybe in a few years challenged for a title. But I'm glad we got MA now so I guess it was the right move to let him go.

Nah we were going nowhere with that defence we only got to the Europa league because of Auba and Laca if we didn’t have them we’d finish 11. And genuinely would be relegated the next season 😂
