    I've never owned 1460s, but I got my 1460 Horween Cavaliers 2 days ago and I couldn't be happier.

    They look great with that extra stitching above the welt, i like it and it also looks even better for me, on the 1460. It is also a bit like how Gripfast do their boots, that are sold exclusively in the US, but made in England in Northampton, by NPS. Thank you for the clip.

    I found a pair today for $170 on sale and was impressed with the leather. Now watching your video, I might have to go back tomorrow to buy them lol.

    Hi, I really enjoyed your wonderful video.
    Can I ask you a question?
    I know this product as a Pascal model, but I think Pascal is a little small for men even if it's the same size.
    How's the fit of this product? Is it for women? Or for like Unisex model? For example, compared to 1461 MIE or 1461 Mono, I'd like you to tell me which side the Cavalier is close to.

    • @KaLMichaeL
      @KaLMichaeL Před 3 lety

      Thanks! Great question! So ‘Pascal’ simple means expected to be software and with less to no break in. No connection to fits and the lasts used.
      This detail you can find here, under show structure.
      www.drmartens.com.au/size-guide/
      For me these are more of the 84 last or vintage last.
      So they fit like the vintage collection MIEs. Smaller toe box for sure.
      1461 MONO I believe is the comfort last.

    Hi! Have you consider trying a pair of vintage analogs of Doc's. Something like vintage Solovairs and others. Cause, a few weeks ago I bought a pair of old stock TredAir (by White and Co) and man, they are amaizing. The leather is thick, but supple and the soles are really good. And as far as I understand they have pretty interesting soles. The main component and the main material is pretty close to vintage Doc's, but instead of having empty cells, they infused foam inside!

    • @martinsmith1525
      @martinsmith1525 Před 3 lety

    On a side note Kal Michael, you did a video on Puritan Stiching on DMs boots showing the braided pattern. Just wondering is their a video you can post on how to tell "FAKE" on shoes? Thank You!!!!!!

    • @KaLMichaeL
      @KaLMichaeL Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks! I have thought about this for a while. I side more with educating what makes a Dr. Marten a Dr. Marten. I see no way to make a fake pair because of the DNA that it takes to create most DOCs is VERY specific. There are comparisons online, but I think that validates counterfeits. hmmmm I have a backlog of other pieces of the puzzle that I will film. Hopefully that will solve the problem. Really appreciate you reaching out - Thanks a lot for watching!

    Hi what size did you get ? I noticed the size I got (8) and the size under the tongue of the shoe is one size smaller (7) ? Is that normal , maybe cause they’re from England szing?

    • @KaLMichaeL
      @KaLMichaeL Před 2 lety +1

      Great question! I got a UK 8. Always use the UK Sizing for Dr. Martens. Plus on styles Made in England it typically only shows the UK size. ;)

  • @basedmaks

    And one more question) Do you have Made in Australia in your collection? A've never seen them, but maybe you have a pair and could make a video about them.

    • @basedmaks
      @basedmaks Před 3 lety

      @@KaLMichaeL I've learned that info from one of my colleagues on work, who is ex-skinhead and really into Doc's. Honestly, I don't know, what models produced that factory, but I'll ask him)
      P.S. Moreover, for a few years there was a factory in New Zealand!
      P.P.S. I tried to post a link to New Zealand ones, but CZcams delete my comment. So, if you are interested, try finding @drmartenstrader on instagram and his post from 22 of May 2020
