    Thank you for this video.
    I have a question: if you have 2 different rifles (let’s say a very light stalking one for shooting up to 300m, and another one, heavier and more accurate for long range hunting up to 800/1000m), is it possible to buy and set up 2 different BTF for elevation or will I have to reset the BTF every time I change rifle?

    Really cool! However, it looks like it only comes with 4 rings...
    Most turrets are set at 50 yard/meter increments so if you zero at 200 yard/meters and want to shoot out to 800 yards/meters then you'll need 12 rings! 250/300/350/400/450/500/550/600/650/700/750/800
    4 rings is nowhere near enough and will only get you out to 400 yards using 50 yard/meter increments.
    Of course you could set them at 100 yard/meter increments but then you're really guessing on holdover if the target is at 450 yards (for example).

    Im trying to decide on this one or the Z6...you get into the pricing of the Z8 and you're getting close to the DS Gen II...But the scope does look incredible...I believe the light transference is 93% as well...just a great company....thank you for the great video!

    Great video. Please could you tell me if you only wanted maybe two or three rings can this be done, or do you have to install the whole set?

      @@OpticsTradeEU today i use a leupold vx2 3-9x40 on my R8 and having hard problems when hunting in low light. Im going to upgrade to a z8i 2-16x50 or a zeiss v8 but i havent decide. Whats youre opinion? I do some stalking and a few driven hunts so thats why i think 2-16x50 would do the jobb for me.

      The Swarovski Z8i and the Zeiss V8 series are the best products from each company. You can't go wrong with both products. If you are hunting in low light, i would recommend a 50 mm objective lens or bigger so you get the most light in the scope for a bright picture.

    If zeroed at 100yards is right on and when I look through the scope while turning the turrets to 5 (500yards) the crosshairs seem to drop instead of rising. It shoots low of target . Kindly assist, thank you.

    • @z7117z
      @z7117z Před 5 lety +2

      The crosshairs should drop when dialing to a longer distance, this makes you raise the barrel when aiming at a farther target. If you are shooting low, they are not dropping enough. You need more clicks to raise your impact point.

      - If you get an unexpected left-right shift with turning the elevation -> Your scope might be mounted with a slight cant. Check if it is absolutely level with the gun.
      - If you get more bullet drop than expected (happens often with short barrels) -> your bullets might have a lower V0 than expected (or listed on their packaging). Use a chronograph to find out the actual bullet speed and calculate using that. (Alternatively you can also shoot groups at 100m and 300m, measure the real-world drop and calculate your bullet speed with that)
      - If your zero doesn't hold -> check your mount (might be ever so slightly loose), gun (stock might be loose, barrel might need cleaning, barrel might make unexpected contact with the stock, an so on....), your ammo (you might have gotten some oil/dirt on it, thereby making it unsafe and inconsistent) and if all that doesn't help -> send the scope in to Swarovski to have it checked at the factory
      - If the BT is inconsistent (as in "I dialled 15cm but it only moved 10" or "it doesn't return to 0 after dialling up to 15 clicks and back to 0") -> send it in to Swarovski
