This is an amazing plant for a tropical look. it is easy to care for but it needs winter protection.

Great video,great plant. I bought one last year but it didn't come to much. I overwintered it in its pot in the house and put it out this year against an East facing wall. Morning sun then shade. Its grew really well. Big dark leaves. This winter I will put it in a plastic greenhouse that I erect inside my shed and heat with a tubular heater. Keeps the freeze off. I also bubble wrap the greenhouse. The heater is only 60 Watts but it seems to do the job.

Thank you for the tips. I was planning to dig it up and put it in a small pot and cut all the leaves and kind of keep it mostly on dry side so that it doesn't rot. How did you keep it alive indoor.

Yes I kept it alive indoors. As the leaves withered away I cut them off. Didn't water much.
