Greetings from Florence, Italy I own a 2001 Suzuki Jimny 4x4 with m13a 1.3L petrol engine. All original that I use on dirt country roads. I also use it on farm and mountain tracks and on country roads when they are completely covered in snow! For me, the Suzuki Jimny is a good off-road vehicle which, due to its small off-road dimensions, is superior to the nissan patrol 4x4s which are limited mastodons in off-road compared to the Suzuki Jimny 4x4 which due to its small and compact size moves better off-road than any larger off-road vehicle such as the Land Rover Defender 4x4!
just took some pics and a couple of short vids, mainly front clip off, pulled engine and trans out,cut engine and trans frame mounts,got chevy v6 top and bottom motor mounts and welded them in place. just took my time, bought some of my parts that I couldn't fab up myself from Suzuki lighting in florida.kinda expensive but would save a lot of time.good luck on your build, happy with mine.
I watched only for the blues, man... I have a sammy, I went full bore on the stock 1.3L ,rebuilt the engine myself. Thorley header,h.c. pistons, torquer cam, gsxr carbs, classic plates. Its a hunting truck. All i need is it to run, but I haven't poured more than 600 bucks into it so far. I'm putting the little tinker motor in this wknd...I almost went v6, had a donor truck, 96 s10. Ended up getting it running and selling it for cash. hahaha! Decided 4 banger was all i need. Nice video. I love the blues, Thanks for the entertainment. I DO WANT TO SEE IT RUN! SHARE WITH ME SOME VIDS OF YOU DRIVING AND KILLING!

had to trim w/cut-off wheel a couple of areas of the trans and cut the passenger side of the trans hump to have access to the dip stick and trans lines...200r4 or 2004r are the same, used the same t-case, had to make my own mounts and shortened the drive shaft and using a gm yoke on the trans end. took a lot of trial and error but got it done. hope this helps you on your build. Suzuki lighting out of florida has parts that would help instead of fabing them up yourself.. good luck
forget where i got them but had to modify them anyways,look for some from 4.3 chevy caprice with center dumps, hope this helps or look at suzuki lightning website but expensive there at 175.00 a side already modified
Well it's powered by a chevy so she gets up an goes.Those Hadley horns sound raspy so not just for show. I'm riding high on forties so I lean when I turn.My pipes sound kind of naughty when the rubber gets burned it's your turn... full song in my channel.. nice build.
Nice build... Can I ask why you put a carb on it and not a TBI manifold (after removing the counter balance shaft)? With that year of Vortec the manifold bolts are angled and not straight up and down.
+Rice Man didn't have the wiring harness and the computer so got from Summit an alum intake and a holley carb and a hei distributor. left the counter balance shaft in and have had no problems with it. it's a "99 from a S-10

Can this be done using the samurai transfer case and 5 spd manual?
Yes, I use samurai t-case with an automatic but you can use an adapter with a toyota 5 spd. Not sure about samurai trans though

Thanks, used chevy motor mounts by Moroso, cut off old ones and welded the frame portion on and bolt the other part to the engine block. Good luck.

Abe, I have a 1999 vortec heads motor and used Edelbrock intake part number 2114 and Hollywood carb 470 come Truck Avenger.

What exhaust manifolds are you using?
Chevy Astro Van exhaust manifolds from early models so they clear frame. Cut off and add your own dumps. Added full exhaust.
It that the stock oil pan?
