Ruby is the Hero of Her Own Story

Books have always been a reprieve for Ruby, especially while in the hospital.
She's been in and out of the hospital due to liver failure since birth. As she waited for the gift of life, a new liver, she found strength and comfort in books.
Soon after Ruby’s transplant, her family learned she qualified for a wish, and Make-A-Wish came into their lives.
Ruby wished to help other kids to be strong and brave just like her. She wished to create a children’s book. The main character was brave, kind and strong. It was Ruby.
Ruby’s story teaches us many things. She inspires others to be brave, teaches kindness, and creates something magical within those pages of words and illustrations. Ruby creates hope.
