hockeydog38 They generally play it one key down so Brendon doesn’t blow out his voice. It’s understandable considering how vocally demanding all his songs are, and also you have to take into consideration that he was struggling with some major acid reflux during this era. He hired a vocal coach shortly after and that accounted for a lot of the major improvement in his general tone and technique
@@Chlo255 I´m not sure about anything you said, as you did not cite sources. However, it is correct that they play it in a lower key for Brendon to feel more comfortable singing the song. They still do the song a full key down live right now, as of 2018, because Brendon can not sing it comfortably in its original key. It´s nothing wrong with that, it´s just annoying how his fans always come to aid with excuses when he does a sub-par performance, the man is not a god. He is great, but he is still human.
hockeydog38 that’s what I said...that its one key down so Brendon doesn’t blow out his voice. I don’t really think that’s calling him a god or making excuses, if anything it’s acknowledging his flaws...
@@Chlo255 But you keep making excuses and keep denying his flaws? You wrote that he was struggling with major acid reflux during this era (excuse) but later hired a vocal coach and improved upon his singing. Seeing live performances of "Nicotine" and "Golden days" (Golden days was also played in a lower key live) does not really say that the aforementioned "vocal coach" achieved much, as there is always straining, cracking and tearing in his voice during those songs, and others. Stop denying his flaws lol.
I feel so sorry for him that he lost his voice during the song (it's an awful feeling) but I actually love how he sang the end of it - he saved it really well! X
This man lost his voice and still sounded sooo damn good.... like starting at 3:15 I loved it so much more then all other performances of this song omlll. I get why they perform this in a lower key live
i like brendon he is talented for me cause he knows when his about to fail in some part but he manage to improvised it by doing what is the best tune on it he is brave to do improvision even though some might not like what he have done but still panic at the disco rocks! hahaha im still a fan way back in my grade 5 to 4th year high school hahaha :D
one thing i love about brendon's voice is that his voice sounds pretty much the same as it does on the CD meaning his voice doesnt sound crappy and totally different than the CD when you hear it live
He didn't mean to scream, it's because his voice was going and so instead of going off key he rolled with it and let it come out. He did really well to ad lib the ending, sounded very pro. Gotta love his voice.
Nah the scream didn't kill his voice, I saw them on Wednesday in Houston and he screamed ALOT but he sang the whole set flawless. It was almost a two hour set...
@TheKhaiXiang Yeah I think he did, they play the song in the original key here...I think after this performance they started playing it in G instead of A. I don't blame them, the vocals are skyhigh in the original Key. Almost Offspring skyhigh ;) Nevertheless awesome performance !
Dammit, I remember i had color guard practice that day. I was so pissed off, my mom practically had to drag me out of the house, to car, and to the band room. During practice, I was not a very happy camper. My coach told me to "wipe that scowl off my face" I apparently rolled my eyes so i ended up doing drop spins with my sabre in the corner so to keep my spirits up I sang practically all the songs from "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out". I'm still mad.
lol fuck. if you're going to stand front row, look enthused. even if you have to fake it. when i saw a rocket to the moon when they opened on the OP Tour in '09 i didn't like them but i jumped around and looked happy.
"Guys, listen up! We're gonna prank Brendon and play this song two keys higher than we practiced it!"
Original key, that is.

The fact that this ones actually on the right key makes me really happy
Brendon: "Ok guys we're gonna play TBOML next! :)))"
*music starts*
*song is 2 keys too high*
Brendon: *has a stroke*
I feel so sorry for him that he lost his voice during the song (it's an awful feeling) but I actually love how he sang the end of it - he saved it really well!
X
this was the actual key they did in the music video. The other live performances are a full step down
Dante Inouye are there any other videos that performed in original key??
@@thetep13 sadly no
His voice was cracking
Yeah
As you can see his voice is cracking
So he sings in lower key at live performances to protect his voice
Amazing but poor thing lost his voice towards the end
His voice broke at the end....but he knew how to adapt it to blend well. I BOW TO YOU MASTER.
2:56 Dallon's high note!!
This man lost his voice and still sounded sooo damn good.... like starting at 3:15 I loved it so much more then all other performances of this song omlll. I get why they perform this in a lower key live
Dallon’s high note
Edit: Upon closer inspection, it’s the same as the high note in Death of a Bachelor
He new that if he kept singing higher it would keep cracking, what a boss to realize it so fast!

Only time they have ever performed at the correct key lol
If i had brendon's voice i would never shut up
i love their new guitarist :) im not quite sure on his name yet. but hes so animated and the way he moves he looks like a cartoon character xD
brendon controlled his voice very well
good one brendon 3:13
Alas! His voice should be really tired!
But even so, the way he improvises at the end overcomes all!
Congratulations Panic! You are the best!
He's so good it's ridiculous
this has to be one of their best preformances
We all know he can sing like hell, so let's just forget this performance and focus on how damn awesome they are!
Sarah is one lucky lucky woman.
i love them so much, only adds to it that there great live too
I'm In LOVE With THIS Performance 😍
The scream killed his voice.
Awesome performance

That end... But still works!
For being live its really good :)
Best. improvising. ever.
lost his voice and still didnt miss a word, true pro
omg I'm jealous of Brandon i lost my voice one time when i was singing and almost cried but he could still go on
This is so awesome, added to the fact that Dallon Weeks of the awesome band Brobecks is joining and is back up vocals.
He didn't mean to scream, it's because his voice was going and so instead of going off key he rolled with it and let it come out. He did really well to ad lib the ending, sounded very pro. Gotta love his voice.

Damn was he ok he shouldn’t of sang he was losing his voice. I admire this man
@Goblonaut you are correct. My guitar was in a weird tuning and where I put the capo made it seem like it was a half step higher than normal. My bad
@Goblonaut Correct me if I'm mistaken, but I am pretty sure that this is a half step higher than the studio version
@RebornLegacy daLLon the Lead vocaL of the brobecks?? ok iLL search it tks
@elijahocampo Aren't they two different performances?
@TheKhaiXiang Yeah I think he did, they play the song in the original key here...I think after this performance they started playing it in G instead of A. I don't blame them, the vocals are skyhigh in the original Key. Almost Offspring skyhigh ;) Nevertheless awesome performance !
Where is their concert?)
@freaktop10
Yeah the brobecks are extremely good, I love them as much as Panic at The Disco, listen to "Bike Ride" and you'll instantly fall in love.
Ah did brendon lose his voice at the very end?
dang brendons voice sound shot in some parts.
Dammit, I remember i had color guard practice that day. I was so pissed off, my mom practically had to drag me out of the house, to car, and to the band room. Is that a show Live in Saints Row The third Penthouse . _.
Nice band =D
@TheKhaiXiang Yeah but he saved it pretty darn good! P!ATD
1:39 i nutted.
al parecer canto en el tono original del disco.
que bien ¡ porque siempre le bajaba un tono
en algunos conciertos en la parte "oooooh mona liisa" cantaba en Bb4
y aqui hace hace C5
the guitarist on the left looks like Spencer Reid from Criminal Minds
Oh wow your right
is he sick cuz when he hits the high notes his voice is scratchy...poor bden
Что-то он тут немного задыхается
lol fuck. if you're going to stand front row, look enthused. even if you have to fake it. when i saw a rocket to the moon when they opened on the OP Tour in '09 i didn't like them but i jumped around and looked happy.

He’s trying too hard………..
@lollipopgurl4996 Lol, if you miss them, you should at least know how to spell their names. It's Jon.
