Sir James, your ability to tell a story is great. Your voice is also pleasant to listen to. Keep up the wonderful work ❤
One of the best sailing programs on today
It shows sailing and not look at me like so many are doing
I keep commenting as I watch. The Canadians that came aboard had the raddest setup. What a beautiful thing for you all to come together like that.
I Love your trip James!
How wonderfull to see John & Sophia, "Letitia II" from Goderich On.
Bon voyage from Goderich, Walter
Well done! Beautiful scenery! Thanks for sharing.
Skipper is an absolute blast. I love this guy!
James you are showing me the wonders of the World.
Greenland owned by Denmark 🇩🇰 is as big as the whole of the 🇺🇸 USA.
Mind blowing!
James, your videos deserve way more views. These are amazingly well done and entertaining. Btw, we miss you on Twitter/X.
James I have not seen your vids in a while. Your recent video that got like 400K views got suggested. Happy to see you have maybe found a good friend to sail with you in Sydney. But then I go check to see what I missed since new zealand vids and then you frickin take a visit to South Greenland where I grew up. Crazy! I grew up a few hours north of that small town Nanortalik, in a town called Narsaq. I’m half danish and half Greenlandic. So I been living in Denmark since 2008. My parents and brother still live in Greenland, but in Nuuk the capital. You should have seen more of Greenland. It’s fun to see your reactions of the Icebergs. Gave me good childhood memories flashbacks. I have sailed a lot as a kid with my parents on motorboats. Thanks for sharing your journey on the seas, it’s always fun to catch up with your vids from time to time :)
I absolutely LOVE Greenland and can’t wait to take Triteia there someday !!!!
my son was in this area this fall , great adventure thanks for sharing , glad you all meet
Beautiful video , beautiful scenery! What an adventure!
Great video, like always
Extra fun since I've been to Greenland and Iceland
Thank you
Absolutely amazing place James!! Thanks for yet again another awesome episode mate 👍 Andy is such a good bloke to tow that couple and is such an amazing captain to teach the way he does! Thanks heaps Andy for allowing James to come along on this adventure with you to film it and bring all us along with you all! Cheers
Allowing!? It was a privilege! I can show my son these videos, this is priceless. Not to mention James is a very cool guy :) I'd sail with him anywhere. // Andy
FAntastic! Thank you James!
Excellent video. Awesome drone footage and music. SO beautiful!!
Hi James,
Loved the atmosphere, very cool episode indeed. Also very nice of your captain letting the couple a tow and exploring their boat. Thank you very much for the information at the end of the video, as well. Have a lovely trip!!
... could watch forever! Brilliant production!
WOW! Incredible. I have been waiting till I had some quiet time to watch these Greenland/Iceland episodes properly. I have just finished this one and wow, absolutely stunning surroundings. The icebergs are sensational. And then, to top it all off (I knew it was coming, but with mind-blowing footage before, I had forgotten) Letitia II. What a gem, what a bowsprit. Thanks James.
This is one of my most favorite films I have ever made, absolutely mind blowing scenery !!!!
Hi James. I just want to let you know your film inspired me so much I decided to book a trip with 59 North. I’ll be sailing from Bergen to the Faroe Islands with them next year! Your work touches lives, inspires and brings happiness to people you may never know. Thank you.
Spectacular.
Seriously cool! Very well put together film. Enjoyed it immensely!
Another amazing piece of film making James. Thank you and bravo!
So cool to see my brother, John, and Sophie and Nine sailing from another perspective in this video!
It was awesome to meet them! They are on a true adventure! Andy Schell also wrote about them in Yachting World Magazine a few months back
Yes! John sent us the link to read. They're in Wales now 😊 Hope your sailing adventures are going well, super impressive stuff. Fair winds!
It was amazing. so chilled and interesting I was glad to see them all meet up
place looks like from a different planet
Amazing James ! such an awesome place thanks for sharing it ..
Dude, just caught that you grew up in Hobbs, NM! Greetings, from Midland, TX! Hope some day to follow your footsteps and follow my own sailing dream! Thanks for all the quality videos and inspiration!
From greenland i love this video
Absolutely wonderful work James
thanks for giving my son a tow , lol , to cheap to buy fuel , why l know sailed with him in the Great Lakes
Loving the Greenland series
Excited
Good on Andy for offering a tow. Limited fuel for a C32 in such a remote place. I know John and he almost never motors but he is probably preserving fuel. Nice example set for your crew.
Yeah they said they were conserving fuel and were likely gonna just anchor off the side of the fjord, super cool that Andy offered to give them a tow.
Wow, stunning!
Thanks for sharing James x
Thank you for sharing this........♥
Looks so beautiful! ❤
Great video!! What an adventue!
Just beautiful.
Amazing sights
Did you guys have protection against Polar bears? I've been to Greenland and if we left the village that was a thing. It was summer nut they are stll around. Amazing to watch you, love what you do!
No, we were not concerned about Polar Bears that far south, when Andy and 59 North went to Svalbard they had rifles and saw polar bears there
That is breathtaking scenery. Heaven on earth. Hope to see it with my own eyes someday. That dock at the end is same place Drake Paragon sailed to years ago. Very cool.
I believe those open houses are "the hotel" to the careful and respectful, shelter is what we call home, and i believe earth to be our home incarnate. As long as we limit our imprint of consumerism it is all given.
Gorgeous photography!
Thank you James.
thanks for sharing from 49 degree canada
The captain seems to be a bit arrogant. Idk if I would be able to handle that big respect to you James.
What is the biggest difference you find in sailing in the Southern Hemisphere? When you were laying in the bathtub, I felt like I was there, feeling the hot water 😅😅 We had four days of wind and snow...Burrrr! Wish I was there.Sade travels, from the east coast of Canada 🇨🇦.
By the way when the Canadian boat said it got to 30 degrees with the wood stove that 86 F
Keep your eyes peeled for the entrance to Agartha.
Ha! I'm from Lubbock Texas James
I lived in Lubbock in 1994(?) worked the morning shift at Einsteins Coffee a block from tech and lived in the attic
Surprised your videos never pop up on my feed.
Yeah it’s a bummer, seems like my subscribers are getting notified either
James, you are literally living my dream. Thank you for sharing. I’m about to buy a Cape Dory 30 ketch and live on her. My wife left me too. Not trying to pour salt into the wound but how did you do it??? We were supposed to share this dream.
😍
So how many Yacht clubs have you been in since joining the 59 north? Love the scenery except the cruise ships hope your having a great time
You’re welcome anytime at NCYC. We are super chill and in the heart of the best sweet water cruising grounds in the world.
Did you check in at Nanortalik? Trying to find info on check in process, cheers
We asked the harbormaster and he said since we were only going to be there a few days we didn’t need to bother
son built that stove
The iceberg cocktails were a cool idea.
It’s sad that I’d expect them to be protected or off limits for some redundant reason.
@@SailorJamesAbsolutely not! Surprised though that there isn’t some special interest group or government agency that feels the need to “protect”them for some stupid reason.
I was NOT expecting bikinis in this type of sailing video, but ok
Scenery = Amazing. Cannon Shot @ Scenery = Dumb.
@@59NorthSailingNoted. Seems like you were trying to get the ice to splash down faster than it needs to. Gotta keep Greenland green!
You referenced icebergs to be seen but didn't let us see what you claim to have seen. The views we saw later in the video showed no icebergs, stranded or other wise. You referenced 2 cruise ships visiting, what was their purpose? how did they leave just footprints? You showed someone swinging around a pole saying "just youths like we all have been". But it is known that youths living where you were exhibit high suicide rates. They were not having fun. They only had that to distract themselves. You see in your video trucks, other vehicles why have the indigenous opted for these instead of traditional, sustainable means of transport. Man is just invading and destroying the places you portray as exceptional. Put a bit more of that in your videos instead of just exploiting and consuming further places and as witness to man's destruction.
What are you saying ! Did somebody give you a phone to use while your locked up in an insane asylum? Don’t watch his Channel goof ball ..
Bro are you huffing gas? I can’t even count how many icebergs are in this film… you need to get some fresh air and stop with the doom porn.
doing this in a bit, from Manhattan NY to Oslo.....
When I think of how many haven't or never will see an iceberg in the wild, I think of how many people have never seen the ocean, a mountain (range), snow, northern lights, or even the night sky away from light pollution filled with clouds of stars. If I had the funds, I would like to at least take people to see the stars just to watch their faces.
Vids like yours James, remind us of the profound beauty Mother Nature has gifted us.
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Yes I've only seen icebergs in captivity 😢
@@SailingDrakkar There are still lot's of people in the world who have never seen the sea?? it is a weird thought.🤔🤔
@@johncurry6047 merely jesting at icebergs in the wild. You're off on a tangent now.
Most people live totally Divorced from Nature, wrapped up in meaningless careers, the latest Cars, personalised number plates, fashion etc etc.. Poor sods 😅
