Question? When your hair was short, your curls looked different then it looks now. Did your hair texture change over time?

Most likely. As your hair grows, gravity will often pull and stretch your curls, making them appear looser over time. When your hair is shorter, your curls spring up and shrink more.

The texture doesn't change, the weight of the hair stretches it out to a certain extent.

How long does it take you to dry your hair using hair dryer?

This isn’t what ‘retain length’ means…

      She means to reduce shrinkage.

Which is what she should’ve said.

How would you define retaining length?

    • @denyshadials5702

      @@curlelia
Retaining length means you’re not breaking your hair off at the same rate it grows out. Therefore you actually see your hair ‘retaining length’ by getting longer and longer over time.
And it’s not my definition. It was introduced years ago when the natural hair movement first started.

@@denyshadials5702 technically she is not incorrect because length is retained if she is preventing shrinkage, she may not be speaking about strand length retention over time due to anti breakage but she is not wrong. Don’t be a snob. Not nice.
