Honestly I love these because it is a coping mechanism for the story but it's also so creative. I love how people rationalize how some of the stunts would be done or how the actors of these characters are and stuff.

If it is a movie they are actors. But of it not they won't be happy at all. 138 establishes that they weren't ever meant for each other and were never compatible enough to stay together. Even if they lived in a completely normal world and dated they would still end up having a terrible break up. The relationship is canonically toxic
