Still going well in this tournament. I felt so sorry for your opponent - land destruction feels so good when you are playing it and it works, and so bad when it works against you. It was brutal, but so effective.
Yes, exactly. It's perfectly fine when my opponent cast sword on my dude. But if he destroys a land, I get mad ;)

Mono vs mono always nice, what’s your opinion on the amount of swamps he plays cause i would maybe ditch the mazes as almost everything in his deck needs 2 black and there is so much landdestruction in os
I think he has enough swamps. 14 swamps+mox+lotus+4dark rituals. He was just very unlucky

Compared to DFB green, I was indeed wondering about your choice to omit Mind Twist and Demonic Tutor. The other main difference is perhaps his use of the mighty Giant Slug, where you are opting for more flying threats in the form of emerald dragonfly and fire sprites.
In any case, I’m impressed with the stinging power of your version.
I also wondered about the lack of Mind Twist and Demonic Tutor, as there is enough black mana to cast them. I think DFB uses Spitting Slug, the 2/4 creature for 1GG, and you can give it first strike. I've never played that creature, but it looks like quite a good blocker, and it doesn't die to Lightning Bolt. Not sure if that is why he likes them.
Thanks for the input. I think mind twist could be good. Not sure about demonic tutor. Everything has to happen so fast. I also feel that flyers are the way to go.
I understand that you built the deck with just small fast 1/1 creatures, and want to keep it that way. As the deck is doing well, it might seem funny to ask about changes, but we can still suggest a few cards, and you might like them, or might not. Other cards I thought about for this deck include Paralyze, which is good if they don't have much mana, Black Vise for when they have cards stuck in their hand, Sylvan Library for card selection, and Regrowth for getting back Crumble / Ice Storm / Strip Mine. I don't know if any of these would improve the deck however. You could even play Greed yourself, as you have the black mana, but that might be too much.
@@phildevey6302 I like that you guys come up with ideas. That's part of the fun. Whether you win or lose. To constantly think, what can I change to make it better. When the series is over I will make a video where I evaluate the cards and talk about any changes. Will use the comments I have received along the way. Thanks for all your contributions :)
Do you only have a collection of old school magic cards? Something about old paper mtg, the design and feel just feels so much more enjoyable. New card design is just not for me. I enjoy your channel deeply and hope you grow more and more
I played modern and legacy for many years. Traded almost everything into old school cards in 2015. It was a good choice. Still have enough cards to make Delver decks in the newer formats.

Maybe I'll play "the deck" next time. With Tormod's Crypt as my only wincon ;)
