You don't get as much appreciation as you deserve. Thanks for your video mate.

Brilliant idea. I bought myself a cheap chisel set to get started and have been wanting to replace the bulky handles. Awesome tip for the ferrule!

Nice, but those tools are pretty pricey if you don't already have one.
What I'd do, just as an idea, is make the seat just slightly too big to fit the copper fitting, then heat the fitting a lot.
Should slide right on, and then shrink fit as it cools.
It might singe the wood a bit I guess, so YMMV, try it on scrap first.
(I've done the inverse with a wheel bearing, shrank the hub axle wih dry ice, worked like charm.)

Very clever. I will, WILL give this a try... like tomorrow... for a carving knife.
What I REALLY want to see is a short video describing, showing off, those tall skinny plywood "drawers" behind you. Looks as if one of them might have shelves for cans of finish, that sort of thing. I want to see a "tool wall". Why? because that is what I am constructing, and I am looking for ideas, problems, mods, etc. I've begun the first panel, 24x48 plywood with a single drawer slide at the top, and french cleats every six inches down the one side. My thought is I can make custom tool holders, small shelves, etc., and move them around as I see fit. This means I don't have to plan out the locations of every bloody thing I want to put on the wall -PLUS- I can pull down the, say, Forstner bits or paring chisels and tote them all to the bench or to the (imagined) outdoor work space.... Anyway, I'd love to see what you did if those tall skinny drawers are your take on a narrow pullout sliding storage board/space. And thanks again for the swaged ferrule idea.

Thanks Ellsworth 🙏🤙.. I will definitely have to do a little video on my shop storage.. part of the reason I haven’t done it is because I never really finished. I keep getting distracted with other projects😜… the tall pullout drawers actually work out nicely and you could probably make them to work with your idea with the French cleats 👍

At first I thought he was turning a red hot piece of iron, then I realized it was just different lighting.

That would be a fun build. If I get the opportunity to build one, I’ll make a video of it for sure👍

6:44 did you make your wedding band out of a pex ferrule? :-) Great idea, this is exactly what I was looking for so thanks for the video!

Thanks Christine 🙏🙏.. I should have made my wedding band out of a pex fitting, would be a lot less expensive every time I loose it 😜
