ROH i just want to say thank u. I have been watching wrestling for a lot of years and i came upon ROH in 2013 and i think u guys are the only company worth watching i went to 3 events in minnesota and the guys blew the roof off. i watch CZW for extreme moments cause i heard about the angle with those guys in 2006. But the craziest thing in all of wrestling is the fact that more people go to wwe than they would to roh. im just saying i would way rather watch PRO wrestling than sports entertainment. thank you roh
It baffles me when people say Steen and Generico don't understand "the business." Their entire ROH feud and the work they have done in wwe prove those doubters wrong. They understand the "business" better than most wrestlers.
Most marks just assume they know how the business works, which in reality they don't since they always cry and complain about it because of how they want their good old days of the Attitude Era back is all they ever care about because of it, anyways.
Carlitonsp1 Even better sign when the hype video gets me interested in a PPV that took place 6yrs ago lol I’d love to go back and watch this era of ROH. It amazes me that the ROH fans hated the Cornette era, hated Cornette, loved the wrestlers & the wrestling. The wrestlers hated cornette and the stories but loved working with each other and loved the fans Cornette hated all of it lol I’m sitting here and looking at it like this is WAAAAY better than the Post-Elite ROH, it’s Waaaayy better than current WWE main roster stuff. Look at the roster this company had, it is UNREAL Davey Richards Eddie Edwards Kyle OReilly Adam Cole Bobby Fish Roddy Strong Mike Elgin Kevin Owens Sami Zayn Colt Cabana Mike Bennett Tomasso Ciampa Jimmy Jacobs Steve Corino Jay Lethal Matt Taven Matt Hardy Cedric Alexander Brisco Bros Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Hass Homocide & Eddie Kingston Kenny King & Rhett Titus Young Bucks Guys like the Rhino, Fit Finlay, Lance Storm TJP all made numerous appearances throughout the year Kevin Kelly & Nigel McGuinness on commentary. If not for the many IPPV debacles, I truly think they coulda done something special with that group in 2012 when WWE had just botched the Summer of Punk angle that left a bad taste in people’s mouths. It just needed a more stable & bigger platform because the talent was there, the storylines were all interesting. It just seemed like they were too small to be big and too big to be small and the fans that were willing to spend money on the product felt screwed every time the IPPV feed cut out. They were 5yrs too early with that technology
I only have regular cable. But then like in october or november of 2012 ring of honor switch to 10:00pm so now i can't see it anymore. this sucks. but can somebody tell me who won between my Matt Hardy and Adam Cole? and who won between Kevin Steen and El Generico?
It’s fun looking back at this given the current storylines with the former Steen & Generico (now Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in WWE, respectively) that’s likely going to end with them becoming tag team champions.
I mean during that time a lot of people had assumed they were going to stay with ROH since they had a great storyline that was getting over on TV, which of course didn't happen since Sami would sign with WWE in 2013 and Owens would sign in 2014 is mostly where they would end up going at the time because of it, anyways.
they had matches in PWG against each other as friends/partners and after their feud in ROH it carried over to PWG..as enemies... they all so just had a another recent match couple months ago for Steen's PWG title which he had at the time. Steen has been a heel in both PWG and ROH and had his battles with Generico.
Agreed, nor were there any hype vid for Jerry Lynn's retirement match. I'm sold on the ippv, though. The card looks solid. (minus the Nana vs Evans match)
Seemed like it but then again with some different characters, which is mostly what makes their storylines different from what they did in ROH to what they're doing nowadays in WWE is mostly what makes it different then the storyline that they did at the time, anyways.
Steen vs Generico....oh boy this is going to be awesome I don't care what people say Steen is my fav and for the past year he has put on matchs that I really wanted to see Steen vs Steve, Jimmy, Davey, Kingston, Kingston, Leathel and Elgin were all epic GBH one of the best matchs I have seen in a really long time along with Bryan Danielson vs Nigel, Davey vs Eddie and CM Punk vs Joe as in World Title Matchs Hope this match is better and is one to remember
During that time when Steen and Generico had a storyline that got a lot of fans over because of the anticipating that it had, which was something that did tell a good storyline from it, anyways.
Yep they are also friends in real life, which they have been for a long time is mostly why they've been in the business for as long as they have because of it, anyways.
Because headshots are not fashionable/not encouraged since research came out about the damage it does. (Benoit being a notable example). It's normally older footage that gets the edit as it's rare nowadays that you'll see a chair to the head.
Lol I really hope Matt was the heel here because everything he said made me laugh so hard. Tailored a generation yeah the one actually two people that Tailored your generation were Steve Austin and The Rock. Matt couldn't even break out of his brother's shadow until he joined tna the second time
I might be wrong or not but I’m calling it now February 9th 2022 Kevin Steen debuts in AEW either in the Owen Hart tournament or he saves Adam Cole and The Young Bucks from a beatdown.
He was not Disrespectful to Sami but to all of the wrestlers even to his tag team partners he didn't care about know one not even his tag team partners. Someone has to put an end to keven Owens career.
On the third anniversary of the death of one of the best tag teams in ROH, on the second anniversary of the Fight Without Honor, on the first anniversary of the rebirth of a nightmare, on 12.16.12, at Final Battle 2012, it will be Doomsday as the War continues when Kevin Steen and El Generico will do battle in Ladder War IV for the Ring of Honor World Championship. Will 2013 usher in a new Champion or will the Nightmare continue? Doomsday is now six ... days ... away.
They feuded in PWG way before ROH.Even if they didn't,PWG still wouldn't have stole the feud. This feud will always be the same one no matter what Indy promotion they go to.
you and a couple thousands may think like that, but the rest of the world doesnt even know what tna is, i would love for them to try and fill at least one time an arena like the ones wwe chooses for WM and idk what was the point of that shirt because i dnt watch this ROH is good but im just not interested in it and tna will forever be crap in my eyes because if you leave wwe that pretty much makes you a world champion, talk about recycling
Nothing is more hype than the line
“Kevin Steen is wrestling’s worst nightmare, but Kevin Steen’s personal nightmare is right before his very eyes”
“He and I are destined to do this forever.”
This was the beggining of reDRagon
And evolved into Undisputed Era
2023 they both involved in one of the greatest storylines in wrestling history.
Now coming to nXt...they really are destined to do this forever.
***** That's ok if they do this forever. I will keep watching. We all know its magic when they get in the squared circle
And now they are still doing it on the main roster
+Richard Kulba Justin will kick your ass
Dilay Aydoğdu LMAO!
2 years later, they’re back to teaming with each other
This match will go down in independent wrestling folklore. I cannot wait!
ROH i just want to say thank u. I wonder where ROH could have been today, if they could have held all their workers
Probably have mainstream success
This was way better then Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn rivalry in WWE
Wait till Kevin Owens vs Zayn is a main event rivalry
The rumor is wwe located Generico in Mexico and are trying to sign him
Alex Mclean hjjhnnn
@@AverageAsianMe they are not in mexico. They are on sami's mind to force him to relinquish his alter ego el generico by signing the last one.
It baffles me when people say Steen and Generico don't understand "the business." Their entire ROH feud and the work they have done in wwe prove those doubters wrong. They understand the "business" better than most wrestlers.

A true gem. If Sami doesn’t win the world titles, I really hope they win the tag titles at WM.
Sami Zayn VS Kevin Owens Intercontinental championship Wrestlemania 32
zorro x Zayn v Owens wrestlemania 35.
@@WoodyboiiI agreed! your totally right this time Kevin Owens will be a Face and Sami Zayn will be a Heel at Wrestlemania 35.
What song is played when steen takes genericos mask out of the box
Now I want to know the song too !
Lmao Matt trying to be a Gatekeeper 😂
Glad I watched this catch-up. The birth of the best tag team EVER.....RED DRAGON.
The coolest tag team name
Adam Cole came from cancer and won the world title 3 months after returning
Steen vs Generico 3 Years In The Making!
He knows how to, one of the best promo cutters currently.
Now I see why people fricking love ROH
It's a pretty good sign when a hype video still gets me interested in a PPV in spite of the fact that I haven't watched a ROH in a long while.
Carlitonsp1
Even better sign when the hype video gets me interested in a PPV that took place 6yrs ago lol
I’d love to go back and watch this era of ROH.
It amazes me that the ROH fans hated the Cornette era, hated Cornette, loved the wrestlers & the wrestling.

owens always turns on his partners. y2j
Christopher Figgs that one made me cry I almost killed myself after that
Please come home guy's we miss you so much.
I really want a kill steen kill shirt. That’s awesome
Yeah, especially since we won't get that type of shirt with Owens in WWE because "Kill" is too edgy.
John Cena's Rise Above Hate t-shirt was so similar to this.
@@davidworks1036 they do have something similar called stun owens stun
I think after Sandy Hook is when steen changes it to fight steen fight
anybody know the name of the song in the background?
KEVIN OWENS VS. SAMI ZYAN WM 32 BOOK IT TRIPS

This looks awesome man
OMG this was an epic promo
Seth Rollins was in that tag match let it all sink in
*Tyler Black
No? Jimmy Jacobs isn't Seth Rollins
+Alex Mclean He means the opening bit where El Generico and Steen won the tag titles. Rollins is the guy who ducks out of the way of the Yakuza kick.
does anybody know the name of that song when kevin steen gave that speech??
What is the name of the song from the kevin steen promo someone plz tell me it's bad azz
Final Battle is the best wrestling show in the world

I was thinking the same thing while watching the Glory by Honor IPPV

completely agree with you.

Look at the young Jay Briscoe
Davey Richards
I guess, after ALL this time....it's safe to say Matt Hardy will never be able to cut a promo
If you're asking about the Ladder War...Kevin Steen won.
