Deji took a 3-month break after the Floyd Mayweather fight. I do think the break was good so he could get his mind right again but I'm just glad he has couches now that want the best for him and not just his money. Daley said in an interview that it's time to go back to the gym and work on things that could have been improved in this fight.
The ring rust was there from that 3 month lay off, But It's obvious that a motivated Deji is arguably one of the biggest threats in the influencer boxing scene. Deji really needs to apply himself because it's clearly evident that he has the potential to be one of the best in the scene he should be back in the gym in a week 100%
I'd also like to see him fight at a lower weightclass I think that would really benefit him physically his power already translates well at a higher weightclass so at a lower weightclass his power would be damaging I also think he'd be a lot faster.

in all honesty i was pretty impressed with swarmz’s ability to counter on the ropes and land his jab. he looked pretty decent for how long he has been doing it.
He looked terrible. You can't give a man props for hiding in the corner.
Deji looked fantastic, beautiful footwork, great combinations, etc. He probably looked the best on this card once again like he did back in August.
He seems the type of guy to outbox every opponent and win on decision.
@@brushtooth6636 I agree, he dosent have devastating power but he is one of the most proficient at the sweet science and art of boxing and while he may not end a fight early by landing that one huge blow he wins by simply being the better boxer

You were not the only one, a lot of people really thought swarmz was somewhere near deji and I don’t even know why, swarmz didn’t show anything in previous fights that would indicate that, hopefully Deji takes bigger fights now
Imo this was the fousey situation all over again XD everyone thought fousey would win due to good physique but deji won and it's the same here. Except swarms actually clipped deji a few times so deji needs to make sure he doesn't get too confident when applying pressure and he got caught a few times. Also fight someone in a lower weight class so he can actually lose the weight and get in good shape now
actually swarmz improved a lot but this was a mismatch for him, he needs more fights.
Honestly, this was both the worse defensive display we've seen from Deji and the best offensive display we've seen from him.

I expected this to happen. Like I mentioned before the fight we hadn't saw Swarmz defence and he always showed hesitation in his movement. Deji pieced him up like a bargain bucket and hopefully it's humbled Swarmz. He's in no place to call people out to fight now.

Swarmz fought someone with 5 fights and 5 years of experience in his 2nd real fight ever (i don’t think you can count the ryan taylor one) and didn’t even look bad. He absolutely does reserve the right to call people out because he clearly works his ass off. He was never supposed to win against deji.

Let's give Swarmz some flowers though... This was his first real fight after a his first real boxing camp, and we can see some potential in him. He didn't look bad, he just kept freezing up. And if he was trying to "rope-a-dope" then he needs to make sure he has enough time and/or power to capitalize off of his opponent's drained stamina. I don't think it can be pulled off in a 4 round fight. But we still have yet to see his ceiling, and with more training accompanied with his natural speed, he could be a menace in this influencer boxing space!
I don't even think Swarmz was that fazed. He kept his cool but he still doesn't have enough experience. He also needs to improve his gas tank

You can see the Mayweather style of boxing really influenced him and tbh it suits him. Sure it will be great to win with a knock out but his selection shots is what makes him way above any other influencer boxing. Swarmz has bigger reach and yet find it hard to connect a proper shot on him.
Great performance by deji can’t wait to see him in his next fight at a 100% really what him to get that Alex rematch.

he looked great for the most part but we also see a lot of issues with his performance. His stamina is clearly an issue. A good counter puncher would stop him when he's open like that when deji is throwing hooks. I think he has to improve a lot because swarmz actually froze and almost didn't do much. The little counters he threw were actually landing and doing damage. I think deji has a lot more to work on for bigger fights.

They need to have you commentate these fights. The commentators in the fight weren't taking it seriously at all. It would have been a lot more enjoyable to hear someone with real insight to commentate the fight.
Deji is technical sound for sure, he looked a bit gassed which is understandable from what his coach said, but otherwise CLEAN performance

Tbf in the second round although deji was going to work, swarmz looked good with his counters. He clipped deji a few times, shame he had nothing else 😂
Problem with Swarmz is he was throwing one punch at a time he hasn't learned to put combinations together yet which is understandable cause learning how to combine punches is a skill that takes time to develop. Deji on the other hand was peppering him up with combos.

If they would have fought with the same experience, i might edge swarmz but it would still be an even fight. It was just way too soon for swarmz. He did great considering he's only 6 months in. He should improve at lightning pace for the next year. He's really speed running this whole boxing thing considering he started out with the #1 fighter in the scene.
