I debate which of the three special edition red Wiis I own is the best one. Main Channel: @ScottTheWoz Twitter: / scottthewoz Facebook: / scottthewoz Instagram: / scottthewoz
The fact that red is Scott's favorite color when the entire theming of his channel (along with the borders on every video) are blue is proof Scott is actually colorblind
@@gabrielbrouwer to be fair when I think of scott i think of him reviewing/talking about a nintendo product so a red channel theme would be fitting for him
he’s red green colorblind, so i think blue is one of the colors he can identify the easiest (i think..or he could mix up his blues and purples, who knows)
Australia had another version of this red wii! I remember ours came with NSMB, Wii sports and the 25th version of super mario brothers. It's weird that they changed this bundle's contents in different countries
Can also confirm that this some version was released in New Zealand! My Aunt got it for herself, was my first exposure to the original (or on this case, the 25th anniversary edition) Super Mario Bros, was really cool. I don't hear anyone talk about this version of the Wii but it seems like the best revision out of all four of the Red Wii's.
Australasia is generally treated as part of asia for a lot of game releases but still has to be changed for english language etc. so it does make sense
I remember when I got my red wii back in 2011 or so, and I still have it (without Mario bros Wii and Wii sports sadly) good and running and since it's the original model too I can play GameCube games which is a nice bonus
What about the Australian version? Comes with the edited Super Mario Bros. from the Japanese bundle (in English btw) and Wii Sports and New Super Mario Bros. Wii - both in actual game cases!
The American Heart Association uses red as their trademark and a lot of red stuff pre-Project RED (different effort) used the red coloring with the AHA to mark it as such, so it's fun to see that tie-in with a Wii.
So honestly, I love watching these vids on here. Compared to Scott's main channel, these are a lot more cozy. Very good background noise stuff, that I really just vibe with.
The Donkey Kong Original Edition actually came out on the 3DS as well as a Club Nintendo reward! I remember getting it as a kid, but it got delayed for a little while for some strange reason. It's definitely pretty cool.
I actually have this Wii! Although unfortunately, I don't have the stand (I bought it without) but I do have everything else that came with it, box included, which is awesome
I know of another edition. My Australian release (not sure if it's exclusive to aus?) Was the same as the EU version, but had the Japanese super Mario bros 25th edition game in place of dk. Also wii sports & new super Mario bros came in full release cases
The SMB 25th Anniversary one was my childhood Wii that I got for Christmas one year. Still have it, still works, still has the Homebrew Channel despite the fact I never actually got around to using it.
The red nsmbw wii is so nostalgic to me, it was the first home console I started getting into gaming on when I was 7. Nsmbw, dkc returns and Mario galaxy were the first games that really introduced me to what a real video game was, as I had only played handheld leapfrog games and young child aimed pc and ps1 games that didn’t really have a true objective or replay value. I viewed these more as digital toys than full on experiences that take more than one play session to complete. But everything changed in 2010 when I got that red wii. It was the first time I ever realized a game could have a backstory and side quests / replay-ability.
I got the black wii with two black remote plus and two black nunchuck and two white wheels. 🤦🏼♀️😭 Wii sports, Wii sports resort and Mario kart Wii. Quite the bang for the bucks spent 😉
Very interesting to see what Scott is spending those big CZcams bucks on. Wouldn’t be my move but god love him, he wants those multiple “special” edition consoles.
I remember I desperately wanted the red wii so My mom drove me to 15-20 different stores within like 200 miles of our house and I got the last one in Texas from toys R Us (at least they told me that’s what inventory showed). Still keep the box to keep it safe everyrime I move
I got the Mario 25th anniversary wii for Christmas 2009, and I still play that damn thing it still works really well! I actually did replace the disc drive myself, because it wasn’t reading any discs but after that little hiccup it still works beautifully
I somehow got a red wii instead of other colors, not learning it was special until recently. I had to make my own Mario Bros Wii box since it didn't come with it. So, I'm the only person to not have to worry about the red case for New Supa Mario Wii.
I recently picked one of these up at Value Village and I was super excited. It just feels good to pick it up. I can't explain it. It just has a more satisfying feel than non-red Wii's. I was all low key in the store but inside I was squeeling and doing a Mary Tyler Moore hat throw.
I have had the red Wii since it came out and it’s safe to say that this is my childhood console. I still regularly use it just because of how special it is to me.
I heard that the reason The pie factory stage had to be reinserted into the NES version is because the original cartridges didn't have enough storage space for all the levels. Donkey Kong original edition is the only version of donkey Kong I've ever played unless I maybe played it on a website somewhere back in the day if there was like a flash version or something but I wouldn't remember.
I remember my first console was actually that Mario ds and i still have it and use it regularly, honestly probably one of my favorite owned special edition consoles that I have.
Hey scott for australia there was another edition of the red wii It came with super mario bros wii Wii sports and 25th edition mario bros With the 2 physical games coming in there cases
The fact that red is Scott's favorite color when the entire theming of his channel (along with the borders on every video) are blue is proof Scott is actually colorblind
Why? Red is usually not chosen as a theme for a channel because it’s viewed as aggressive so it’s not desirable to have that as a color.
@@gabrielbrouwer Nintendo…
@@brandontankey9700 I said usually.

"As a kid seeing product made you happy" I'm 25 and window shopping is still a huge form of happiness for me
My family still owns the box for the red wii in the garage to store Christmas ornaments. Every December I get some surprise nostalgia because of that
Interesting
I still use the red Wii I got on Christmas 2010 - I also still have the box lol
I still have my box for my red Wii fortunately :)
Do you still have the wii?
Boxes probably worth money on eBay.
Red being Scott’s favorite color feels like an oxymoron
I guess it's his color blindness speaking
Australia had another version of this red wii! I remember ours came with NSMB, Wii sports and the 25th version of super mario brothers. It's weird that they changed this bundle's contents in different countries
@Scott’s Stash, there is another!
Can also confirm that this some version was released in New Zealand! yeah i was thinking that too, cause i have that one and i thought he just forgot to talk about it lmao

Yeah it was the first wii my family got, sadly the disc drive broke but it’s great
Now the question we've all been REALLY wanting to know... which red wii is Scott's SECOND favorite?
"top 5 favorite red Wiis
the red one
the red one
the red one
the red one
My takeaway from this video is that red is Scott's favorite color. I always assumed it was blue because of the channel theming.
Well he is color blind
Same tho
one of the greatest opening lines on this channel
All of the question boxes are '25' except for the last box, just before the last boss has an infinity symbol, very cool!
No it doesn't
5:44 is maybe the funniest off the cuff thing Scott has ever said
It’s officially cannon now!
let it be remembered
BIG PP SCOTT
BPS tucks it in his sock…!
I like the little turntable thing Scott has now. Makes me think of a Special Edition Red Wii being shown off on The Price is Right or something
I'm surprised he didn't put the stuff in the microwave to make it spin like that
The price is right was so great
called a lazy Susan which is my favorite unfitting name for anything ever
I love this channel and especially these types of vids. Its so relatable and REAL when he talks about little oddities like this
Fax they have so much charm
*realness INTENSIFIES*
Scott just like.. talking about things... I enjoy it so much. (I still love the full episodes)

@@HelixAdamOxford we really have the same hobbies huh
I always wondered how many Special Edition Red Wiis I would need to feel whole again. Turns out it’s 3.
“It would be harder for a robber to see at night”! 😂 All jokes aside, Scott’s aunt is a genius 🫡
If it was matt instead of shiny af
Actually the 25th anniversary SMB has one more difference; the length between the title card and the first block is drastically shortened
You forgot that the copyright date say 1985-2010 Nintendo instead of 1985 Nintendo as well
Imagine someone sees your 3 red Wiis when they walk in and get scared
Weeb
I remember when I got my red wii back in 2011 or so, and I still have it (without Mario bros Wii and Wii sports sadly) good and running and since it's the original model too I can play GameCube games which is a nice bonus
A NICE bonus! Honestly, new model Wii don't even count as a Wii imo.
Wait, the red Wiis are original model? I always figured they weren't, I might pick one of these up if I can then since all I have is the new model
@@chuckbatmangaming Yes, can confirm, both red Wiis I've owned have been original models with the Gamecube compatibility.
My favourite part about these videos is Scott feeling like he needs to defend the fact that he bought this stuff
The red wii will always remind me of my cousin who broke an ankle fighting for it during black friday, good times.
He could talk about his haircut for 50 minutes and i will still be interested

Christmas 2010, this was the first console I’ve had in my life, grew up with this specific color Wii and still have the box to this day
Fun fact: I had one of these as a kid. And it got stollen.
Rip Wii mine broke so I replaced it with a Wii U and my Wii U still works to this day.
1:50 RED IS HIS FAVOURITE COLOUR!?!?!? PLOT TWIST
I can’t wait for Scott’s next video “Wii Sports paper case”
idk why but i like to imagine Scott is laying on the ground on his stomach kicking his feet while recording these
We still have our red wii in the lounge room and my mom still plays it from time to time. She’s played pikmin over 5 times in my life time
Fun fact, in Europe the DSI XL Mario bundle did actually come with New Super Mario Bros. instead of Mario kart! It definitely feels like a better fit.
So honestly, I love watching these vids on here. Compared to Scott's main channel, these are a lot more cozy. Very good background noise stuff, that I really just vibe with.
I wonder if Scott knows about the few super rare chibi robo wii us that was a photo finder contest award

Scott got himself a little turntable for his showcases. Nice.
i've never seen red wii's before, but they look so cool! can't wait to watch this video.
..yeah good point show the fucking thing he is not srsly talking 13 min without opening ...tf
LOVE these scott's stash vids!
I got that NA red wii for christmas in 2010 when i was 11 years old, and watching you unbox that unlocked core memories
Love these videos, Scott!
Imagine not living in Australia where the red Wii bundle came with SMB pre-installed, and NSMBW and Wii Sports in their proper plastic cases.
I still own my red 25th mario anniversary wii and it works really good still and I love it a lot! It was also the only Wii I have ever bought
I WANT A RED WII!!!
Man.. Scott really does have it all...
I grew up with this and still love it
Scott always has something interesting to say about everything he has bought, I bet the next Scotts stash video will be about his microwave!

"Red is my favourite colour."
>Branding is all blue

He brings in to more and makes it a contest!
