Hope all of you are fit and doing well in your life. In this video, I am tried to clear all misconceptions regarding the PVC weights/Plates that what's inside them sand, cement, iron filings etc... and compared them with Cast Iron weights/plates, their compact size, and exact figure in measuring their weight. I even tried to show you them by measuring them on the weighing scale. Even in most of the gyms, these plates can easily be seen but not the PVC ones, in other words, these are the worst one I would never recommend them. Your body doesnt know whether its filled with sand or with iron, weights are weights and pvc weights are good enough for temporary home use
i dont understand , even if its cement , it is weight right ? yh quality will be bad maybe and +/- some grams maybe but does it make any other difference ?
Pvc is bad cuz Cement will chip off bit by bit it will grt lighter over time
@@ipappim7336 but the chips will still be inside of pvc... i have seen hardly few people who are doing exercise for life long so for startups... this becomes a good alternate option by saving almost 40% money
@@adityas.lifestyle in person it is two seperate pieces of plastic like two Tupperwares they are glued together doing deadlifts and dropping them on bench presses will shatter them yes they will chip and ull notice sand or cement in your workout area cuz thats the cemeng from the dumbells trust me based off of my experience iron cast or rubber plates are better and everyone who has a homegym would agree with me

1.25kg, 2.5kg, 5kg ki plates sirf aur sirf steel main hi lena......kyuki unka size chota hota h to aaram se dumbbell me fit hoti h n choti rehti h.....(benefit kya hoga? : aap saari shoulder, arms, and chest ki exercises kar skte ho.......chest ki flyes wali exercise aap PVC se nahi kar paoge kyuki size bada hota h aur wo close grip ho hi nahi paati).
10 kg ki plates ke liye aap Rubber ya PVC choose kar lo (Rubber is better and i think same price)......10kg plates aap sirf big rods ke saath hi use karoge jaise bench press, squat, deadlift etc to koi problem nahi h....
Edited: Last baat, big rods ke saath aapko bench lena hi padega.......lekin agar aapko home gym karna h to better h aap sirf 1.25kg, 2.5kg, 5kg ki steel plates le lo aur 2-3 pairs dumbbells ke aur 10kg, 12.5kg, 15kg, 7.5kg, 5kg ke dumbbells bana skte ho (plates ko apne hisaab se attach/remove karke, i hope u get my point) aur saari exercises aap floor pe mat bicha kar bhi kar skte ho.....I do the same and got very good results infact better than gym....
I have a question for you geniuses. Will the muscles grow faster if you lift 2 kg sand or 2 kg metal or 2 kg diamond? All that matters is all the plates have same weights on each side. If it's 2.1 kg on one side, then the other side should have 2.1 kg to balance. It doesn't matter what the plates contain. If you're so concerned about differences between plates, then weigh it before buying.
Thats what at the end budget constraints are the one to relay on iron plates are 5 to 7 times cost where you get whole kit of pvc anyways for home use pvc is better as it wont even break tiles of floor

Steel dumbell are so much better to carry during exercise,
Rubber and pvc are not good, u wont be able to work out at your full potential,
Also rubber dumbles make your hand and floor dirty.use steel dumbell best

When u r comparing with other weight then make sure u weigh them before comparing..
U showed the weight difference between PVC one and what about the weight difference in iron one..?
If 100 gram matters of PVC then it should matter of iron ones also..
And pls learn to hold the cutter first, else u wont be able to hold again..
i think you are blind brother...you didn't see that he's weight the pvc plate and the iron plate??... and also 100 grams more is better than 100 gram less...just take a look at the pvc plate...they are supposed to be 2kg but it is only 1.9kg...while the iron plate are supposed to be 5kg but after that the plate is 5.1kg...that means that it is better.

See it depends cost wise cast iron once are 5 to 7 times expensive compared to whole kit price of pvc once and anyways its home use so definitely it will be not used alot so its ok to go for pvc if you have a gym then definitely iron plates are needed due to its rough use and precise weight

Bhai, mobile thodi na hai yee.. 😆 ki performance chahiye hame.. Hume buss weight se matlab hai... 1500/- mai.. Kafi weight dete hai.. Or kiya chahiye...
Unstable weight... One is 1.9kg other one is 2.1 kg
Add 5 plates to both side of rod:
5*1.9 = 9.5 KG
5*2.1 = 10.5 KG
Clear cut difference of 1KG, this will cause stability issue during lifting, and might also cause muscle imbalance
So unless you're going to do single arm lifts, this kind of weight is not good.
Even single arm lifts will cause issue due to huge size as compared to weight. Like dumbbell bicep curls, 20KG dumble will cause less contraction of bicep muscle because the size of these plates will come in between, whereas iron cast, Chrome or other metal plates will have less size hence you can get more contraction by curling few extra inches.
Same goes with Hanmer grip bicep curls and hammer grip bench press...
I can give you many more examples but i think you got the point..

Mere paas around 50 kg ki plates hai,
Usmein bhi same issue hai, personal experience se bol raha hu..
Meri ek 5 kg vali plate actual 5.1 kg ki weigh karti hai, ek 4.75kg
10kg vali mein bhi 3-400g ka difference hai..
So math ka to issue nahi hai.
Baaki Aapki apni raye hai, meri apni.
15000 ka phone le sakte hai jiska kaam 5000 vala phone bhi de sakta hai. Lekin health k liye 1500 -2000 extra kharch karne mein dikkat hai

you are completely right about the volume and area it takes while lifting and in ur room. but still its perfect for a cheap home gym since it is giving proper weight as written on it .... 50-60 gms idhar udhar hoga ...thats y its cheap..

Tej first of all am not going to recommend PVC weights but still if you go for it it's not gonna last much because the inside mortar start loosening after few months of daily usage settling down at one place.

Yes Rayees there is no difference in weight but you will definitely make out when you perform same exercises on cast iron weights. So at least try and then reply me.
