The only think I can think is that SD Worx DS thought Vollering was so injured in that crash she would not get on her bike so he told everybody to ride on. That she came back from that to podium and even have a realistic shot at winning the whole thing says a lot about her. The entire podium are awesome athletes.

Great effort by Kasia Niewiadoma! At last she has what she deserves for her hard work! Chapeau bas!

DV by far the best rider, don't know how KN can celebrate winning by attacking yellow jersey on a crash!

Four seconds? Looks like they could've made that much up at least by having a cohesive team. SD Worx effectively traded in a GC victory for a stage win.
I'm a Kasia fan like most people, but Demi impressed me again

Demi definitely had a chip on her shoulder. It was an exciting stage but you could tell she wanted to be anywhere but on the podium today and that probably includes the team bus. Yesterday she rode around aimlessly keeping to herself instead of using to trainer. Today she didn’t change out of her cleats for the podium presentations. Hints at big issues within the team. While I can’t really speak to those issues, tough times like these are where character is revealed. She was not gracious in defeat at all. Not congratulatory at all that I could see. She showed this last year when her team didn’t support her in a race and she complained afterward that other teams weren’t help in her to close gaps. Now her team disappears on her this year. I get the impression she is not very well liked. Best of luck to her next year and huge congratulations to Kasia. She was awesome.

Not Kasia's fault she fell. Did you want a whole race to stop a few kms from the finish because the yellow jersey could not keep her bike straight
Blame Demi's team for their catastrophic mistake of leaving her behind at such a crucial moment

It was Demi's teammate (Wiebes) who knock her down, few others that left her behind, and another (Vas) that pulled away and eventually won the stage. What was Kasia supposed to do in those circumstances? Stop and wait for Demi? Don't be ridiculous.

She won and deserved it, if you want to blame someone, then blame the Team SD-Worx for giving up Vollering in Stage 5.
If 1 women would stay behind helping her, they would have easily the win.

      Nonsense.
Would Stage 5 and the overall change if SD Worx was intelligent enough to support their own teammate in Yellow after her crash? Maybe, perhaps even likely.
But KN can only ride the race that happened....not some hypothetical. She rode a worthy defense of the Yellow Jersey today.
For the record, I was cheering for Demi.
