INTRODUCTION
Team of AATS, West District has arrested two snatchers namely, Monu Kumar S/o Naginder Singh R/o Prem Nagar, Kirari Suleman Nagar, Delhi, Age 24 Years and Ramu S/o Ram Surat @ Jaglal R/o Village Bhojpur, PS Peeparpur, Dist. Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, Age 26 Years. The team has recovered 01 stolen M/cycle along with 02 snatched and 08 stolen mobile phones from them. Total 11 cases have been worked out with their arrest.
INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION
On 12.05.2024, HC Nahar Singh received secret information that two auto lifters cum snatchers, namely Monu and Ramu, would come near Baba Ramdev Marg, near Ghode Wala Mandir on a stolen motorcycle. Based on this information, a team led by Insp. Manish Chaudhary, I/C AATS West District, comprising SI Happy Kumar, HC Nahar Singh, HC Kuldeep, and Ct. Kalu Ram, under the supervision of ACP/Ops/West Sh. Arvind Kumar, was constituted. The team laid a strategic trap on 12/05/24 at approximately 07:00 AM. Two individuals on a bike were spotted coming from the Ganda Nala side. The bike rider was identified by the informer as Monu, the same criminal about whom he had provided information. Both individuals on the bike were apprehended by the police team near Baba Ramdev Marg, near Ghode Wala Mandir. The bike rider was identified as Monu Kumar, son of Naginder Singh, resident of Prem Nagar, Kirari Suleman Nagar, Delhi, aged 24 years, and the recovered bike was found stolen from PS Kapashera. The pillion was identified as Ramu, son of Ram Surat @ Jaglal, resident of Village Bhojpur, PS Peeparpur, Dist. Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, aged 26 years. Further, upon a cursory search of accused Monu Kumar, five stolen/snatched mobile phones were recovered from his possession. Upon a cursory search of accused Ramu, five stolen mobile phones were recovered from his possession. Both accused have been arrested under the appropriate sections of law.

PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED
1. Ramu S/o Ram Surat @ Jaglal R/o Village Bhojpur, PS Peeparpur, Dist. Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, Age 26 Years has studied upto 3rd Standard. To fulfil his need, he started committing crime of theft and snatching. He used to steal two wheelers and commit crime of snatching on stolen two wheelers. Accused has previously been involved in 10 criminal cases of Snatching and Theft.
2. Monu Kumar S/o Naginder Singh R/o Prem Nagar, Kirari Suleman Nagar, Delhi, Age 24 Years has studied upto 5th standard. He has 8 brothers and sisters. He got into addiction of liquor at a young age. To fulfil his need, he started committing crime of theft and snatching. He used to steal two wheelers and commit crime of snatching on stolen two wheelers. Accused has previously been involved in 15 criminal cases of snatching, NDPS, Arms act and Theft.
