@@_fat_thor_ "the new wave of (origin) metal" is a phrase that has been in use throughout metal's history whenever there has been a pocket of bands gaining a big amount of attention from a specicfic location there was a "New Wave Of Brittish Metal" in the early to mid 80s, a "New Wave Of Eroupean Metal" in the mid 90s, and a "New Wave Of American Metal" in the mid to late 2000's The New Wave Of American Metal included Shadows Fall who have been around since '98 the phrase has nothing to do with how long the band has been out.

...Lamb Of God is another band who while originally known as "Burn The Priest" were also part of "The New Wave Of American Metal" as well, and their first release came out in '99

@@jeffrielly Burn the Priest/Lamb of God, are American, while Crystal Lake are Japanese lmao. They are two different bands, from two different countries. Crystal Lake started out as a Hardcore/Metalcore band, influenced by Swedish band called Shield, and an Australian band called Parkway Drive, whereas Lamb of God first started out being influenced by Pantera, groove metal bands alike. Crystal Lake since then have evolved their sound, covered every single ground from pop, edm, rap, black metal, hardcore etc, then they used their background as metalcore to smash all of that together, while being heavy and stonk af. Checkout these songs by Crystal Lake: Aeon, Disobey, Apollo, Machina, Just Confusing, Black and Blue, Lost In Forever, Rebirth. Or, better yet, just watch their Resurrection Fest performance from 2019. You cannot compare CL and LOG.

@@_fat_thor_ umm ok???? What does any of that have to do with with the name that's been used for a movment, or a pocket within the metal genre as a whole over the course for as long as the genre has existed? Im confused
