I've never heard Daniel Sturridge talk before. Smart and a great communicator. Dead impressed.
Look at his other videos on CZcams, you won’t stop laughing. He’s extremely funny too.
One of the most vocal and mediagenic players of his era. Where have you been?? He is like Ox on PEDS
Sturridge! Calculated player, calculated punditry 👍🏽
Sturridge iced out in prada delivering gems on finishing. I like it haha
I've been waiting for somebody to flex them £900 Prada gloves on screen 😅
Oh dear........lads(???) you do realise you're talking about man gloves in a football discussion?
@@VINYLJUNKIE5623 lol at least you're not trying to justify or deny it :D changing times or whatever
My heart goes out to anyone who sat and watched that for 90 minutes, worst game of the season by a long distance.
It wasn’t a bad game…Liverpool always plays front foot high defence line so plenty happens. Chelsea were given enough gifts but they declined. No Jose parking the bus here. Just bad finishing.
There were chances in the game, the reverse fixture 0-0 at Anfield was definitely worse
Liverpool under Klopp have always looked like a 'high wire act'. They always committed so many players forward it was always a surprise that teams could not murder them on the counter attack, but those teams were so busy defending and as soon as the won the ball they were under pressure. Losing that little bit of intensity, losing that little bit of passing fluidity means Liverpool have had a long way to fall.
That high wire act has won Klopp the premier league, champions league, super cup, club world cup, FA cup, league cup, community shield all within 4 years
That high wire act has won Klopp the premier league, champions league, super cup, club world cup, FA cup, league cup, community shield all within 4 years
That game felt like a mid table football game.
@@davidlawrence5091 yeah , I don’t know why people are surprised, we’ve had 25+ games and we’ve seen these two sides aren’t very good
Want to hear more from Sturridge!
Love Sturridge!

Couple man called me a backup dancer
Onstage at the BRITs, I'm a backup dancer
If that makes me a backup dancer

You can't sack a manager who has won four different trophies. Klopp is a top manager. Klopp can't be blamed for the performances and results. The players are not giving it 100%
I watched Liverpool many times as a Man Utd fan and trust me, these players are giving it their all having seen what poor effort looks like. They just have no confidence, poor mental resilience n poor decision making.
@@Josephkeith19 Liverpool arent special, any manager can go. He may have extra time beacuse of his acheivements at the club but he's definitely on the clock.
Studg is great, get him in with big Meeks 😂
Liverpool have shown glimpses that they're still a great team (9-0 Bournemouth, 7-0 United) but the heavy metal style is clearly a young lads game, if Klopp's in it for the long term I hope he learns from this season and starts recruiting replacements when his first players start hitting 29-30
Ye even a couple seasons ago I was waiting for this team to burn out. No way you can play that high intensity game without falling off after 4-5 seasons
100%, our forward options are really really good, especially with Diaz coming back, but 90% of the time they're getting zero service from a terrible midfield with zero energy
@@GoGetYourShinebox burn out?? Don’t use that excuse 🤣 they’re professional players and they have loads of breaks after the season… they have loads of time to rest
Well they have just ditched heavy metal too cause they clearly can't do it. They have no system. No press yet still a high line just makes no sense, no wonder the midfield and defence always look terrible. I would never sack him, but more lies with Klopp than most think.
All the great teams fall off what you on about? Manchester United are the prime example
Probably the most abysmal game of football ever seen better performances on a school playground
@@hsbnsse the quality on show was terrible, it was end to end because of both teams giving the ball away
@@hsbnsse It was a competitive game with a serious lack of quality. Watching Chelsea play is mind numbingly painful.
@@vcsl14 Lots of chances , better than two teams passing it around the back for an houd
Everyone was saying they are back when they beat United don't think they've won since then.
Not everyone. Just fickle fans which account for like 80% of sports fans lol
We showed a glimpse we're still a good team on our day, but as painful and sad as it is to say; the team has ran it's course and needs replacing. Klopp's heavy metal style is a young mans game, it's overpowering press, speed and fitness that overwhelms teams, without it we've shown we're actually tactically average
when the midfield have decent games(which is getting rarer and rarer), like against united, it allows the forwards to actually play and eases the pressure on the backline. Midfield clearout is badly needed, bring in 3 starters and one more center back option and that will go a long way in resolving most of the issues, ideally we'd also have proper competition for trent
@@emrekarakoc8124 don't think that's likely, just the 2-3 midfielders plus one more cb will cost over 200 million(at least). Much more likely that we (should) wait till summer 2024 for properly bolstering the backline
Daniel Sturridge, Jamie Carragher! 👍🏾
YNWA
The problem is they haven’t freshen the squad up and are still constantly relying on either players that are on a decline or far to injury prone
“They don’t look the same team” glad we got the experts in on this
It’s the old 2015 conundrum, we’ve got quality up top being fed from cruds behind. Milner, hendo, matip, Gomez, the ox and tsimikas really need replacing plus Fabinho, salah and virg (they’ve got about two seasons left i reckon) all need replacements and in one go not spread out over windows, we literally need a one in one out system and a reshuffle of the pack a little bit, trent in rm and replace him with a sturdier defender who’s focused on getting back more than getting forward, the little assist competitions with robbo have damaged the fact he’s meant to be a defender first. Its gonna be a rough few seasons if we don’t have a mad window this summer but tbh one of the last people who should be criticised is Klopp, the fellas only working with what he has and will bring us through it again
we’ve seen performances this season where it all clicks and we look like the best team in the world, the problem is there’s only been like 3 games this season where that’s happened
not even close, "where it all clicks" more like when the other team doesnt turn up finally the over priced Mane replacements can get some tap ins.... Liverpool as a club showed there cards letting Mane go and deserve to crumble... he was the rock of that team and nothing works without him.... all money wasted on other players could have just give him the contract he wanted and stilll been flying!!
Gapko and Nunez are decent but don’t suit klopps style they need rapid counter attacking players so the fullbacks can stay on the halfway line
Sturridge George Michael cosplay on point
Watched the full game. Definitely a cure for insomnia
Boring football
Would rather watch Cowdenbeath over 75s 5 a side
Damn son, Sturridge was a breath of fresh air. Natural communicator
Liverpool fan here, Klopp has burned the players out from the gegenpressing & high press, but the bodies are just broken & tired playing this football, we put money into strikers and defenders but they have not recruited or changed the middle, and relaying on tired broken legs
No Sadio Mane no party
You have to look at the bigger picture, last season Liverpool played every single match available too both in the league and all 3 cup competitions including champions league and the majority of the squad at the World Cup this season . Now I’m no fitness guru but that must take so much out of a players body that you can’t expect the same thing next season with that style of football
If the league table was just decided by home games we’d be 3rd behind Arsenal and City. This glaring issue with away games is about the mentality of the players more than the tactics.
No we would be first and last because that would mean nobody plays each other
As it stands on home games.
Arsenal 38
Man City 37
Man UTD 36
Tottenham 33
Liverpool 31
Sturridge cannot do anything without knowing he has access to a Dairylea Triangle at a seconds notice.
'Match of the Day 'should grab Sturridge for a spell of punditry. He'd make a welcome change from Shearer!
Why is Carragher keep referring to 'Liverpool of 3 or 4 years ago'. Bro these man were arguably the best team in Europe last season, 2 wins from quadruple !!
Should've just given Mane a super contract
Mane has been on the decline since after the break for Covid in 19/20. It was the right time for him to go. Diaz is an excellent replacement.
Sturridge with quality punditry and the Prada drip was dripping 🥶🥶
What annoys me about football is managers can't seem too change the way of play enough to suit what they have in front too them. For me the essence of coaching has disappeared
I still think Firmino should be played in midfield, his creativeness is better than anyone else. Dm - Fabinho, Hendo and Firmino or DM - Hendo, Thiago and Firmino
as a Liverpool supporter from 93' , i never seen LFC so low...and the Boss saying what we saw tonight is what he wanted to see...i Love the Boss....but he needs to put back the glasses ( the eye operation was not a success)
90 % of the players have no desire, no legs...and not tactics or tactical plan...
but we do not need and CM ( and we get Arthur, to have a vacation on the merseyside, Millner is getting a new contract...but we talk about players that they are expensive
LFC is a Sell to Buy club...but we lose players on free at the end of the contract...
and You still want Me to believe that in the summer FSG will invest more than 150£ mill ( if they invest that to)
time to wake up....fab and hendo need replacement next year...if not this summer ( beside 2 CM that we need them from last summer, + cb + a CF (Bobby leaving)
see you next season will be the same fun, i hope the boss has other script for the press conference
are we still Liverpool that wasn't CL / PL ...and to fight for them to really win them ( not 1 CL / 1 PL and some cups...in 7 years)
supporter from 93 but you think the club is lower now than it was about a decade ago and within days of going bankrupt?!?!?!? weird!!!!
@@GagzoD82 yes because the we (the supporters) knew what was happening, now even the manager does not know and the owners are ready to buy a basketball team in America but investment in this team is only sell to buy, but u sell nothing... Sporting directors are leaving one after the other...
Losing games, PL /CL is nothing new, but the way we do it this season... To many injuries that have nothing to do with last season, wrong decision (Arthur) e. T. C
Klopp made a load of changes and don't blame him but your dropping a lot of players who are not play well for players who are not playing well
Yea but the real question is what does Keane think of those gloves
i hate this team, we are not adapting, every team knows what we are doing.
What Liverpool need is a massive rebuild in the summer. The squad is getting old and it's time to bring new players in like Shankley did in 1970 when the players like Hunt, St John, and Yeats were past it. Players like Matip, Ox, Keita, Jones and Millner should go in the summer. Revamp the midfield and defence and get depth in the squad so that players fight for their place in the team. Get another Right Back, another Centre Back and 3 or 4 new Centre Midfielders.
Reports coming in Sturridge will now be out for 6 weeks to recover
I dnt wish any bad luck for nunez but buying nunez at a time when we needed a midfielder we could have got eriksson and casamiro for the money spent on nunez . Klopp prioratised strikers instead of centre mid.
Knees have gone. You change tactics and adapt your game but Liverpool can't do that with guys with that many miles on the clock.
Sturridge is a smart cookie.
Personally, I think they need all new middlefield and a partner for VvD; Id also sell TAA - although I support Arsenal (I hope we're going to win upcoming game, of course), I like Liverpool and wish them well
First it was rock n roll football , it was found out , they changed , won a league in five years one could argue if it wasn't a pandemic they wouldnt have won it and now that style has been figured out.
No amount of new players will change , klopp doesn't know how to change it
To come so close last year, literally a couple of goals away from a quad and one of the greatest club seasons of all time, people are really under appreciating how mentally draining that is on a squad. And Fabinho as a defensive midfielder beast dropping personally in form so sharply are by far the biggest drivers.
The owners are paying the price for not investing and replacing players over the summer, football isn't the same as baseball!
Sky should hire him greater speaker
Blimey Sturridge must have had a fitness test before going on the pitch for this analysis ...
Carragher “they play the same but can’t do it” what typa contradicting statements that 😂
Yes they’re trying to play the same way. But the same players aren’t capable of playing the same way
imagine Carragher as a Liverpool manager, every player would be sacked
Richards out Sturridge in
It's time for Klopp to rebuild Liverpool 2.0. Will FSG facilitate it though?
Well you're keenly astute and up to speed on the situation aren't you. Unfortunately it isn't time until the transfer window opens, something modern fans tend to forget. If a teams got tactical flaws or squad shortages, there's nothing a manager can do about it until the transfer window opens again
@@darthpepe2994 It doesn’t matter. LFC fans know how stingy FSG are. They’ll have to sell 3/4 players to even try and buy a new one.
They need to sell the club because otherwise we are going to always be mid table
@@AppleApple-ux1be Actually Liverpool fans are quite divided on FSG, something the "FSG Out" crowd, who think they speak for the whole fanbase, don't want to admit. I'm personally 60-40 on FSG, I think they've done amazing things for the club with the stadium & facilities, and their recruitment/transfer policy, while it has it's flaws, has been mostly consistent and if it weren't for our main obstacle/rival being the club who play football on cheat mode we'd have won more titles under FSG & Klopp. That being said, yes, I think their reluctance to break the bank more often when it's clearly needed has held us back, notably this season, and while I'm made up they're building the stadium up, the pace and scale they've been working at has been a joke. 12 years to erect 1 and a half stands with no confirmation if the other 2 will be expanded too is not acceptable when we have tens of thousands of fans on the waiting list and are therefore losing millions in additional matchday revenue
Think Daniel spent his first Sky pay cheque at a Prada store
Trent might aswell play cdm
Sturridge in 20 seconds is better than the lot of them.
Yeah and klopp keeps thinking they can play like they use to but they can't so if he dont change it he needs to go
Sturridge should become a regular
We're crying out for a top class midfielder who has the legs to cover the spaces left by the way we play and we have Trent sitting at RB getting one or two chances to play the kind of De Bruyne passes he's capable of per match. I love Klopp but it's getting infuriating now. Buy a RB, stop holding back someone with Gerrard-like-talent. Honestly it's like if Houllier had have kept Gerrard at RB for years.
They aren’t the same team they are older and not in form and the new players have walked into an out of form Liverpool team I remember people saying that team was the best ever 🤣hilarious
Most Sunday league game I’ve ever seen in prem football
Sturridge is great
They need a complete rebuild in midfield
Get Sturridge as a regular
Please sky replace Sturridge with Graeme Souness 🙌🏻
replace all the women as well their a waste of space who add nothing and are just there to box tick
Liverpool sturggle to beat a championship side at the moment. No defence all chase same ball. Need for than a few players unfortunately.
Ye and look what great results they had since. I support liverpool kills me seeing team in this state but just giving my opinion
Last night I saw at least 4 to 5 sloppy plays on the ball, that's rare for this team. Real sloppy when those attacked should be turning into shots on goal
Klopp said step in right direction we should of lost at least 4 -0 on for Chelsea are 💩 aswell . Wat game he watching I get support your players but be honest.
That was liverpools B team though
Word up, Cameo.
No Mane
I like Sturridge but he needs to get the prada off and the suit on 😂
The Klopp era could be coming to an end soon which is a shame but hopefully he's still there next season and he can turn it around.
I feel like Stevie G is holding out for the Liverpool job, i'd love him to be manger but only because of who he is.
I didn't see many Rangers or Villa games but Carra said that Gerrard's style is narrow and defensive because he learned from Gerard Houllier RIP and Rafa.
Most LFC fans wouldn't be happy with that style after seeing Klopp's high energy style
play the way we played against real, with this struggling team? to only lose by 1 against probably the best team in europe, is pretty good
Is that….. a man bag, on a glove?
Karma for selling Mane. Mane was the reason they won everything under Klopp he was the catalyst to their success.
Looks like the ‘pressing monsters’ have run out of steam lol reality check
we didn't lead for pressing numbers last year when we were minutes away from the title, that's not been our style for a while. we haven't been pressing monster since pre pandemic lil bro
@@grimepoint3030 not lil bro girl here and pressing is Liverpool’s style under Klopp. Perhaps I meant to say ‘mentality monsters’ but that’s missing too haha

Liverpool are done. Back to normality..they won't win a league title for another 30 years.
if they don’t win in the next 5 years u could be right cus of the tight owners but aslong as klopp is there and he’s somewhat backed we’ll get back to the top
