Its weird and i have never seen a house centipede in person, only the smal dangerous centipedes and *VERY* rarely the awfully large ones in our garden.

These guys have a mild venom they administer to insects through their ‘forcipules’ (modified front legs). Unlike some other centipedes, theirs don’t penetrate human skin very well at all, and the venom they produce is really only effective on other arthropods. If you really and I mean really terrify them they might jab you but it would feel at worst like a bee sting. I think rarely some people have been allergic but that’s incredibly rare and generally the jab will just heal rapidly and not be an issue ever again.
I find bugs/arthropods interesting. I didn't even freak when a spider lowered while I was in the shower. I just moved it outside. However, gnats can duck off.
