Hi dear , I would like to say a very big thank you, for sharing this with us worldwide , as l am french, I never found a channel, who would explain so clearly the way to process the proget , with your précise explenation, I have done one very Beautifully ,so for this thank again ,merci beaucoup pour votre partage.❤❤ ❤, love from 🇫🇷.
Thank you so much for the guide. I just finished mine and I figured out that when I move the increase and decrease stich to the end of 8th row (right before 3 i-cord slips), the result is better as the increase/decrease mark is much less visible. In case you want to make another scarf, you can try it out.
Hi! I am teaching myself how to knit and your video on how to start the Sophie was SO HELPFUL! I was amazed at how difficult it was for me to find knitting tutorials that made sense to me, and yours was one of the few that just clicked. Thank you!!!!!!
Thank you immensely for your two wonderful tutorials on knitting a Sophie Scarf. My sister gifted me a knitted Sophie scarf she had made & said it was an easy knit! After watching both your tutorials, you have inspired me to knit one myself as I have not knitted an i cord before. Your videos are very clear & very well explained..Thank you so much🥰
Thank you so much for your lovely tutorials! I watched your tutorial prior to purchasing the pattern and your tutorial provided the confidence I needed to try this project and I feel quite successful thanks to your videos. Excellent job! Thank you!
Hi! I finished it today! I'm super happy with the result, i love my sphie scarf😍, i'm gonna make another one but better! Thank You so so much for this video! ❤
Hi there 😊. Im having shocking trouble knitting this scarf, I purchased it from Petite knit 🤦🏼♀️. I am a total beginner and taking this super slowly, yet one side of the binding cord has holes 🙁. I know I haven’t dropped a stitch. Thank you for your help and tutorial 😊.
I knit the first 3 stitches and then knit 2 together so it doesn’t make a hole. Also on the increase, when it calls for knit front and back, it was pulling the I-cord out of shape so I made knit 3 then make a backward thumb loop so it doesn’t have to borrow yarn from the existing stitch. Much neater look!
What is your recommendation to start decreasing stitches? Like when there’s 50 stitches then start decreasing or more just a rough idea. I’m going to try to make one the shorter one first and then go into a longer one. I just didn’t know when to start decreasing in.
Your videos are super helpful (for a beginner), thank you. Question, my skein had 3, yes 3 joining knots. PK purchased instructions indicates joining new yarn where there are 3 stitches left. Have you needed to do this & did it work? This is my 4th Sophie Scarf and first time attempting to join yarns. 😊
As a beginner I really appreciate this video, thank you. Do you have any more beginner friendly ‘modern’ patterns to recommend please? I’m in the U.K. 👋🏻
I’m getting ready to start knitting the Cumulus Tee from Petite Knit as well since a few viewers asked about it. I’m happy to take suggestions as well.
@TheGingerNinjaJournals I so want to knit this but I am not sure I will be able to complete it. I defo could use some help. I just found you because I started the Sophie scarf today and was looking for some help. You nailed it.
I’m seeing now that there are some of us with different directions on our patterns. I am wondering if the pattern changed in between many of us printing them out??
@@TheGingerNinjaJournals I was wondering if it makes any difference in the look. The increases read knit 2 then KFB in next stitch. The decrease is knit 3 then skp. On the last 7 rows the first row decrease is k 2 skp. Not sure it makes any difference.
I honestly don’t think it does at all. I poured over other peoples Sophie scarves in photos on Pinterest and Instagram and many of them looked exactly the same so it made me feel better about mine.

Thank you very much for this other video. I would have done the decreasing by taking two stitches together. Thank you again from Canada.❤

How did I JUST see your message?? Ugh… did you get your scarf worked out already?
Thanks for the video, how many stitches much you have on your needle befor the ending, thank you Nareth de Beer 🤗
Just 6 at the end.

Thank you so much- I shall watch and learn! The Sophie scarf is my first ‘real’ project, and I’m loving it…
@TheGingerNinjaJournals I so want to knit this but I am not sure I will be able to complete it. I defo could use some help. I just found you because I started the Sophie scarf today and was looking for some help. You nailed it.
I started decreasing for a while, now I have 23 stitches on and I think my scarf is too short . How can I fix it without going back to center row?
you now have a scarf for a little cat or dog 🥰
Bind off 17:49
There are no decrease instructions. I'm halfway. Now what?
Do you have the pattern I can follow
You can purchase the pattern on Ravelry or Etsy. Just look for Petite Knit Sophie Scarf.
decrease 1:37
The pattern says to knit 3 then slip 1 knit 1 slip one…right?
I believe it’s knit 2, slip 1, knit one, psso. That’s what my pattern says.
My pattern says to knit 3, then skp as well.
I’m seeing now that there are some of us with different directions on our patterns. I am wondering if the pattern changed in between many of us printing them out??
