    It’s an anthem for being who you are 🎉🎊
    Love the message and also how it combines the Finnish mythology Kalevala where the world is created from the goldeneyes’ egg,
    In the stage performance the singer Henri represents the bird (see the similarity of the movements and the clothing) and the Windows95man is born (as all humans) naked only wearing Kalevala inspired boots. The stage coordinator tries in the middle of the song give the rules to our hero but he puts the instructions flying in the air. He wants to be free and who he is despite what the others try him to be!
    Love how this song divides people just like Käärijä did last year! Maybe it’s a good sign?! But anyway please enjoy and have fun with a serious message! Here again Finland shows why we are the happiest country in the world for 6 years in a row!
    And no this wasn’t my favorite song in the UMK but now I think “see if I care - see me slay” and have fun!🎉🎊😀

      World was born from egg of goldeneye(bird) in Kaleva.
      Sotka/telkkä=goldeneye

      @@Mirrori lol I thought sotka was aythya. I guess aythya is the family of sotka but sotka/telkkä isn't part of that. The more you know

    • @Mirrori
      @Mirrori Před 3 měsíci +2

      @@Sipu97 yes Aythya is biological genus.
      And goldeneye isn't part of it.
      But I read, that in Kalevala word sotka(Aythya) actually means telkkä(goldeneye).
      I guess that in old times, goldeneye was mixed in Aythyas because of similar look.
      Or sotka is only old word for goldeneye.
      And goldeneye is much more common to see than Aythya species in Finland.

    It speaks to us 40-something year old people. It's such a nod to the eurodance we grew up with. And it's a well executed joke while doing so

    This is Windows95man's 1st single so he is like born (the egg part) and as dj his trademark is those short jeans shorts so he kinda get's them during the performance. That's the symbolism I read somewhere.

    I think it's an ode to education in Finland, and especially to the computer geeks of the 90's who were kind of looked down on before that, but who actually brought the country back to it's feet after the recession.

  • @BonelessJones
    @BonelessJones Před 3 měsíci +3

    Denim is still a big thing but not as big as it was in the 90's.
    The singer is the mother (the jacket is denim feathers) and he's hatching the egg where Windows95man is born. That's why he is "naked". It has Austin Powers. It has 90's music. It has 90's dance moves, singing and even the greatest operating system ever created Windows 95.

    In the old creation stories of many peoples, the primordial egg is the beginning and creator of the world. In some stories, the world is born when the primordial egg splits. In some stories, the creator god hatches from an egg. In Finland, the first egg is known from the Kalevala.

  • @elisa-ren
    @elisa-ren Před 3 měsíci +12

    The only explanation I can think of for the egg is that in Finnish folklore, there is an egg called the world egg that cracks and creates the world "Typically, the world egg is a beginning of some sort, and the universe or some primordial being comes into existence by "hatching" from the egg" but I could be wrong 🤔

      Another possible explanation is that 'egg' = 'muna' in Finnish but 'muna' is also a popular slang word for penis. So a giant denim-clad dick joke? Who knows, who cares. I'm just here for the fun.

    I'm not sure about the egg, but I think his character is born and hatches from the egg like a baby bird. He doesn't have pants yet, because he's young and "naked", but when he grows up and gets rid of the rules (the lady with the clipboard), he finds his true character and "earns" the pants. Then he is complete. That's my interpretation 😄

    It's okay song although I prefer Cyan Kicks or Jesse Markin better. Still It is sad if some salty Finns voted them only to troll because Sweden won 2023. I think that is childish thing if they done that. I wish WindowsMan5 only the best and hopefully they get to the final next May.

      It's not trolling at all! The Finnish feeling about Eurovision these days is that nobody really cares about what juries think anymore, they just want to vote for the entry that made them feel good. Finnish people are experiencing the same "no rules, just have fun" energy the song has right now, it came at a time when it was exactly what they wanted.
