Personally, Losing Midnight was an Absolute Indescribable Travesty.... Midnight was a True Vocalist in Every Aspect. He was one of the the Most Honest Singers.... He Poured His Soul Out with EVERY Note and Nuance.... I thought he was irreplaceable...and he is... But.. Todd... shows up and has an Immense amount of Talent and Potential... He was a Perfect Fit with Crimson Glory... Todd should have Stayed with Crimson Glory... With Crimson Glory, Todd could Bring Life to Midnight's Songs with proper Feeling while also coming into his own... limitless possibilities ... Where as with Queensryche, he seems trapped in his subconscious trying to Fill Geoff's Shoes , worrying to much about the comparisons, etc... all distractions keeping him from Just Being Honest to Himself and Being True to His Soul.... and Letting Himself Become a part of the Songs... Far to much to say to keep it all in time... I wish I could have a few days with Todd and share a few things My Teacher taught me years ago as well as a few of my own ... He is so close to being Absolutely Incredible... and I want to witness his full ability... \m/
queensryche keeping the name.rising west is the name they were going to use while geoff did his solo shows but they parted ways because of the usual musical differances!!
Only because it's live. Todd is one of the few that can redo Midnight. He has all the textures, colors & dynamics down. Especially for his age redoing it & when Midnight originally did it Todd absolutely has earned respect. For him to even attempt to do it shows his love, appreciation & respect for Midnight.
Midnight was great, but he almost destroyed CG. Strange and beautiful is really bad. His widespread vision into fantasy love and politics were very confusing.
I do like CR very much since their first album; but this singer is nowhere near Midnight or Wade Black! No power, very shallow voice actually. I am sorry.
