The Syed Modi International Badminton Championship is a HSBC BWF World Tour Super 300 tournament. The tournament was inaugurated by the Uttar Pradesh Badminton Association (UPBA) in 1991 as the ‘Syed Modi Memorial Badminton Tournament' in memory of the 1982 Commonwealth Games men’s singles champion Syed Modi.

This tournament happened in pretty typical indian fashion, I'd say. The umpire not allowing the challenge, the audience, the technical issues, the service delays and so on. It was a pretty dismal performance by the Indian pair, but all athletes have their off days, and the comments are quite horrifying.

I think because of Reddy, Ponnappa lost all her confidence. Left and Right handers dont make good pair. Technically they tend to confuse themselves during picking the shots. Lack of coordination and unwanted talks in between. Seemed very unprofessional.
