😁😁😁. Many years back had 3 neighbors with lots of pasture but not as much land as I had that all butted up together. At a barn raising picnic put our minds together and made a plan to join together rotating as we go to improve the land grazing the different animals. We were doing what we saw was improving not only the pasture but the quality of the animals. We were doing what you’re doing and improving everyone’s land just cus of need but what we saw. Growth!!! Thankfully we first began with water lines which really helped cus we had to buy shares of water based on land and usage cus we were agriculture. I had a sand pile for garden and chickens always would eat it and dust baths too. They were naturally teaching me what they needed. Nothing better than a cooling jump into water and eating homemade ice cream (fresh peach from our trees) and a BIG thank you to grandma and your beautiful one for all their hard work. AND that’s a lot of work in one day. Soon your plates will be full of everything you’ve grown. Now that will be a PERFECT day. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Rebeccah, I love seeing you working in the kitchen with your Mom. I lost my Mom when I was 30 and 51 years later I still miss her so much sometimes. This time you have together, make sure you think of as many questions about her child hood as you can. I have so many "I wonders" and Ancestry.com only answered a few of them. That chicken fried steak looked so good...that was a favorite for us. Thanks for sharing your day....Y'all have a Blessed day.

Enjoy watching your beautiful family. We also raised our children on our farm. We are now empty nesters with grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. You all are doing a super job with the farm. One suggestion, the overhead sprinkler is very inefficient. We tried it in the past. Waste a lot of water and creates muddy paths. You need ground cover to conserve the water, plus drip irrigation as some have suggested or simply water with a garden hose. Drip irrigation or hand watering with a garden hose puts the water exactly where you want it with little or no evaporation if you also have some type of ground cover such as mulch or plants. Bare soil is always troubling. Keep up the good work!

Our chickens won't touch cow manure but we don't get flies on it either. Maybe because it dries to quick in our dry heat. The gravel you got for the turkeys is what all my property looks like with a few weeds mixed in.😄 We also kill our clover. We've had a few cows die from bloat.

We adopted an older couples pet turkey. Only pet turkey we’ve ever had. We do raise turkeys occasionally to harvest. We teach her a routine - takes her about 3 days to learn it - then we don’t have an issue turning her out with the horse and goats. She goes into her stall at night when we feed.
