Truth be told, Savers aparently said screw it to Digimon tradition on several accounts, including the age/body build avarage for the main cast, "Geo"agumon, the fact that they said screw VictoryGreymon and created that piece of shit ShineGreymon and the lack of googles. (I hear there's still some more but i didn't find the time to see it past episode 8) And some people didn't like Burst Evolution, but that's a argueable point. PS if you have no idea who VictoryGreymon is, google this name to see how he looks like, and to sum up his story: He was the original Mega level for the RizeGreymon branch in the manga which Savers was based on and some believe it to be the next evolution to WarGreymon. Also suggest looking up ZeedGarurumon, he goes along those lines for MetalGarurumon.
Sonny Firestorm Well, Savers might not be my favorite one, but it's not that bad. ShineGreymon does suck indeed, different age/bodybuilding doesn't change much, it's a little better in fact because the "courageous yet foolish goggle-boy" tradition was getting a wee bit old, hence why I like Takato: he isn't that foolish. Anyway, it has some excellent villains, the interaction between digimon and human are similar to those of Adventure and Zero Two (they're both afraid of each other). In fact, Savers is likely the closest from Adventure 01 as of now, since Tamers is a lot different all around in protagonists and how they treat the digital world, and in Frontier they don't go to the real world at all (only in the final battle against Lucemon). Meanwhile, Savers and 01 both have many different sagas, which take turns around both worlds, the protagonist is stupid yet courageous and the second leader has family problems.
SoldusJK Meh, i said i didn't watch it yet, take it easy. But hey, my main complain is ShineGreymon, and i'm glad that part you agree with me. (Seriously, have you seen VictoryGreymon??? He's like WarGreymon but modern.)
VictoryGreymon seems more fitting as a WarGreymon evolution then replacement for ShineGreymon. In my opinion. Anyway, ShineGreymon does suck, but RizeGreymon, Rosemon and all of Falcomon's line is pretty damn cool.
SoldusJK VictoryGreymon can either be seen as the second Mega of Greymon's line of the first Mega of the GeoGreymon line. (In the manga that based saver that was the case, Rize evolved to Victory) (and if you know what's his deal then you know he sliced Yggdrasil in half with a single hit)
