My mom told me two things in her worst state That I deserved to be beaten because I couldn't wash a dish (she was abused by her first husband) And that some people are difficult to love When you parents are in a bad place you can only try to understand, not when it's happening but later when you've healed it makes better sense Not always but there's always a moment of ooohhh that's what it was
