When these judges came into their place they made a vow to uphold the United States constitution, not to uphold the bible. America is not a Christian nation. It's not a Jewish or a Muslim one or a Buddhist one or an atheist one or anything else. It is a place created for religious freedom. They understood that. When these judges came into their place they made a vow to uphold the United States constitution, not to uphold the bible. America is not a Christian nation. It's not a Jewish or a Muslim one or a Buddhist one or an atheist one or anything else. It is a place created for religious freedom. They understood that.
If there were a God who punishes those who stand before him, these judges for example, for having compassion towards others-- whether or not those people were "sinners" as you may believe-- then that would not be a God I would want to love.
